The Central Board of Secondary (CBSE) will conduct the Class 12 Physics Term 2 Exam on 20th May 2022. The Central Board of Secondary Education has made some changes in the exam pattern for Class 10th and 12th boards this year and students are all worried and confused. It is must for students to be thoroughly prepared in order to score excellent marks in the final exams.
Therefore, in this article, we will be covering the syllabus of Physics, chapter-wise weightage & sample papers for the upcoming CBSE Class 12 term 2 board examinations. Students are recommended to stick to the term 2 syllabus and keep the important subject areas in mind while preparing for the exam.
It is quite common that students find it difficult to complete their examination in time as thinking and writing descriptive answers makes it lengthy. Thus, it is essential for students to complete their answers within the given time. Hence, this can be done with the help of the practicing sample papers.
CBSE Class 12 Term 2 Physics: Question Paper Pattern
As per the sample papers released by CBSE, there would be 12 questions in all, and all of them would be compulsory. The question paper would be having three sections: Section A, Section B, and Section C which would be divided as follows:
- Section A would contain three questions of two marks each
- Section B would contain eight questions of three marks each
- Section C would have one case study-based question of five marks.
The Board would provide no overall choice. An internal choice would be provided in one of the questions carrying two marks each and two questions of three marks. Students would have to attempt only one of the choices in this.

CBSE board exam pattern
From the academic year 2021-22, CBSE will hold board exams in two parts. Term 1 was held in November-December and Term 2 in April-May.
The syllabus will be divided into two between the two terms. Term 1 had exams comprising MCQ questions only. Term 2 will have 120-minute exams comprising both subjective and objective questions. Students will have to fill in the OMR Sheet with a pen.
