Registration Process: Quick Overview

NEET registration happens entirely online at neet.nta.nic.in — no offline submissions are accepted, and each candidate may submit only one application. Multiple applications from the same candidate lead to disqualification.

1. Visit the official website — nta.ac.in or neet.nta.nic.in.
2. Click "New Registration" and read the instructions before proceeding.
3. Enter basic details — name, mobile number, email address — and submit.
4. Verify via OTP sent to your registered mobile and email.
5. Log in using your generated application number and password.
6. Fill the full application form — personal, academic, and contact details — and upload required documents.
7. Pay the application fee through an available online payment mode.
8. Download the confirmation page and keep it safe for future reference.

NEET Registration Fee Structure

Payment is accepted via debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI. Note that payment gateway processing charges and applicable GST are added on top of the base fee. The fee is generally non-refundable — even if you decide not to appear for the exam after paying, so confirm your eligibility carefully before submitting payment.

Important Registration Rules

• Apply only through official NTA websites — nta.ac.in or neet.nta.nic.in. No other platform is authorised to accept NEET registrations.
• One application per candidate. Submitting multiple forms results in disqualification.
• Use an active email and mobile number — belonging to the candidate or a parent/guardian — since all official communication (admit card, results, updates) is sent exclusively to these registered contacts.
• Upload address proof as a single PDF covering both permanent and present address (Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID, or Domicile Certificate are accepted). If both addresses match, one document is sufficient.
• Most details cannot be changed after final submission, except through the correction window described below.

NEET Application Correction Window

NTA typically opens a short correction window after the registration deadline, allowing edits to specific fields only — usually personal details, uploaded images, and exam centre preferences. Some fields, such as the registered email ID, are generally not editable even during this window.

What Happens After Registration Closes

Once the registration window and correction period close, NTA releases the NEET admit card a few weeks ahead of the exam.
