With lakhs of aspirants appearing every year, NTA has also issued a crucial advisory emphasizing the importance of document preparation to avoid application rejections.

Why Document Preparation Matters?

Many candidates face application issues due to incorrect or incomplete documents, which can lead to rejection. NTA advises students to carefully verify and update the following documents before starting the registration process.

1. Aadhaar Card (Mandatory)

  • Ensure that your name, date of birth, and father’s name exactly match your Class 10 certificate.

  • Use a clear and recent photograph.

  • Any mismatch in Aadhaar details can result in the application being rejected.

2. UDID Card (For PwD Candidates)

  • Candidates applying under the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category must have a valid UDID card.

  • Ensure it is updated or renewed, if necessary.

  • The UDID card is essential to claim reservation benefits and exam relaxations.

3. Category Certificates (EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST)

  • Reserved category students must possess valid certificates issued by a competent authority.

  • Certificates should comply with the latest government norms.

  • Expired or incorrect certificates will not be accepted, and applicants may lose eligibility for reservation benefits.

Properly prepared documents are the first step toward a smooth JEE Main registration process. By verifying Aadhaar, UDID, and category certificates well in advance, candidates can avoid last-minute stress and ensure a successful application. Registration for JEE Main 2026 will open in October 2025, so aspirants are encouraged to review their documents now to avoid any discrepancies.
