CBSE has concluded its class 10th board exams, and the exams for Class 12 are also expected to end soon. More than 20 lakh students registered for the CBSE Class 10th. Students had appeared for pen and paper exams almost after two years. Not only students but the board authorities will also be checking answer scripts of written exams after a long time. The board is all set with the marking process and has announced special requirements to confirm that checking is carried out in a fair and fast manner. CBSE has set up a high number of evaluation centres to check the board answer scripts. The number of evaluation centres has also increased in comparison to the past years. The Central Board is planning to involve more teachers in the checking process.
CBSE will also set up centre nodal supervisors to supervise the functioning of these centres. There will be a team of head examiners, additional head examiners, coordinators, and evaluators.
The sets of questions that appear will be colour-coded to ensure fairness. Once the examiner checks the copy, it will be inter-checked by the evaluators. This will ensure no miscalculation. In case there is an error, it would be easily rectified.
The term 2 CBSE class 10 results & CBSE class 12 results will not only be the marks obtained in the written exam but it will be the final score containing term 1 and term 2 scores as well as the internal assessment. The exact weightage given to each section has not been declared by the Board. However, students are demanding that term 1 should be given the least weightage due to apparent cheating. Candidates are also demanding that internal assessment should have maximum weightage, but the decision is yet to be finalised.
