Time Management and Proper Planning are musts!

After Class 12, students prepare for various national entrance exams such as NEET, JEE Main, and Advanced. All these entrance exams require students’ effective planning and time management skills. Thus, they should start working on their planning and effective time management abilities from Class 12 onwards. They should make and stick to a daily timetable that covers all subjects. They should create and meet study/preparation goals for each topic/subject.

They should understand how to manage their time properly. Because poor time management and putting off/postponing study sessions are serious flaws that can affect students’ exam preparation, thus they learn to work effectively.

They must also write the topics they didn’t understand and need to revise again. Preparing a revision notebook will assist students in determining how much time they should devote to each chapter. FAQs

    1. What things should I follow while preparing a timetable for the CBSE Class 12 Term 2 2022 Exams?

Before creating a timetable for the CBSE Class 12 Term 2 Exams, students should examine the following factors:

    • Most students prefer to study at night, but studying early in the morning has its benefits. The human brain tends to become quicker in the morning after a good night’s sleep. A night of good sleep will tune the mind of students to new information.
    • A proper study strategy is essential. A well-executed strategize plan aids in reflecting the accomplishment that has been completed.
    • Every student has different skills and limitations. Thus, everyone does not need to study according to the same schedule. Students must adapt their study schedules as per their needs and priorities. For example, if one is strong in Maths but weak in Science, they must emphasize more on Science.
    • Class 12 students must invest at least 6 hours for studying apart from school. They must prepare an efficient timetable with short intervals to avoid overburdening the brain.
    • Class 12 students must understand the CBSE syllabus and create a timetable for all subjects covered in the syllabus.

    2. How should I prepare for the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam?

Before starting the preparations for CBSE Class 12 Board Exams, students must look at the Class 12 syllabus and marking scheme to understand which topics carry higher weightage in the exams. Students must begin with the topics with the highest weightage in terms of marking schemes.

    • Don’t skip the initial chapters, which have a low weightage, as these chapters build a solid knowledge base. Study them before moving on to the more important areas.
    • Complete a topic to its fullest. Learn the topic, and understand its applicability in solving practice questions linked to it.
    • After completing chapters with high weightage, students must proceed towards topics with a low weightage and continue the cycle. For example, a student has begun studying Unit 2 of Accountancy, which has a weightage of 30 marks, then moving on to Unit 3, which has a weightage of 20 marks, and finally Unit 1, which is for 10 marks.
    • After completing the Class12 syllabus, students must take practice tests by attempting the latest CBSE Class 12 sample papers and previous question papers.

    3. Suggest some essential study tips for Class 12 Term 2 Exams preparations in one month?

Before beginning for Class 12 Exams preparation, students must create a precise schedule that covers all of their subjects and their revisions.

With only one month for Class 12 Board Exams, students must cut their study material. They must only be on NCERT textbooks for Class 12 preparations.

Eliminate distractions from the surroundings, including mobile phones, social media applications and other distractions that can divert their attention away from studies.

Practice the latest CBSE Sample papers and previous year’s exam papers to learn about the latest exam pattern and the types of questions asked in the paper.

Examine the common mistakes and address them throughout revisions. If feasible, use handwritten notes for correction.

Please pay close attention to the response presentation and strive to enhance it. Look at toppers’ answer copies to see how their responses are presented.

Overexertion and stress can become harmful for students. They must take adequate care of their health.

Improve concentration power to retain most of the topics learnt. Students should not worry about the number of hours; instead, they think about what they’ve read and how well they understand them.

    4. Recommend special techniques used in CBSE Class 12 Exams preparations?

    Pomodoro Technique

It is a technique where students take a 5-minute break after studying for continuous long hours. Under this technique, students must choose a topic and study it for 25 minutes using this strategy. After that, take a 5-minute break to relax before repeating the exercise. Students need to take a 15-30 minute pause after every fourth cycle. Since students’ minds have limited ability to absorb information, this strategy is extremely successful. The little gaps allow the mind to rest.

    Feynman Technique

This technique is a basic process in which students first choose a chapter and study it independently. And then they need to teach the same chapter to someone else. While doing this, students will discover the areas where they need further revision and practice. Students can read that chapter again to get through the topic where they got stuck. This technique is effective to grasp the topics more quickly.

    5. Are NCERT textbooks for Class 12 sufficient for Board Exam preparations?

The NCERT textbooks assist Class 12 students in building a secure platform for scoring high marks in the Board Exams. In general, the CBSE Board Exam question papers focus on the NCERT textbooks and their topics. As a result, NCERT textbooks and exemplars are more than adequate. Students must use the NCERT Solutions For Class 12for concept clarity. However, on the ground, reference books serve a critical role in helping students learn the subjects more successfully. Because Class 12 is a watershed moment in a student’s academic career, there should be no reason for them to be dissatisfied with their grades. For example, in a Mathematics reference book, students will have access to many types of questions to solve. After all, Mathematics is all about practice!
