NEET Qualifying Examination Codes
Candidates can go through the below-mentioned examination codes and their descriptions to confirm their eligibility and qualifications for NEET 2022. It is suggested to carefully read and select any one code per their qualifying examination while completing the NEET application form.

Code 1
Candidates taking the Class 12 exam or awaiting the results can choose this code. Students should provide the necessary documentation as proof of eligibility for the exam when the results are announced.
Code 2
- Code 2 is for students who have finished 12 years of higher/secondary education or the Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE), equal to Class 10+2. The NCERT requires that Physics, English, Biology/Biotechnology, Chemistry and Mathematics be opted as a major subject in the final two years of study.
- Students who have finished 10+2 with Biology/Biotechnology as an added major from the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) can register under NEET qualification code 2.
- Code 2 is also relevant to: It should be noted that the qualifying examination code for droppers in NEET 2022 will remain the same. For example, if a candidate passes the secondary examination from CBSE/ICSE or any state board in 2018 but wants to take NEET 2022, they might register using Code 2.

Code 3
This is for applicants who have passed the Intermediate exam in science through a university in India or any recognised organisation with courses – Physics, Biology/Biotechnology, Chemistry (including practical exams in all majors) and English as a necessary subject.
Code 4
Applicants may choose this code if they clear the Pre-University or Higher Secondary examination and are at the point of Pre-medical examination with Physics, English, Biology/Biotechnology and Chemistry as the subjects. The Pre-medical/Pre-Professional exam includes practical assessments in all of these topics, with English being required.

Code 5
Students who have graduated from year one of a degree course at a recognised university with topics such as Physics, Biology/Biotechnology and Chemistry, and practical assessments in all of these areas can apply for code 5. Furthermore, candidates must have completed the previous qualifying examination in English, Physics, Biology/Biotechnology and Chemistry at or above the basic classroom level. Code 6
Students who have completed a B.Sc. degree programme with at least two subjects from Biology/Biotechnology, Physics, and Chemistry can select Code 6 as the NEET qualifying exam code.
Code 7
If students have taken any other test equal to an intermediate science examination from any university/board, they can choose code 7 as their NEET code. It should be indicated that students should have finished two years of study in Physics, Biology/Biotechnology, Chemistry, and English and pass practical assessments.

Nationality Requirements for NEET 2022
- The candidate must be of Indian origin.
- Candidates from the state of Jammu and Kashmir who self-declare are eligible to sit the NEET 2022 test under the All India 15% reservation.
- The NEET 2022 test can be given by foreign nationals, NRIs (Non-Resident Indians), OCIs (Overseas Citizens of India) and PIOs (People of Indian Origin).

Prerequisites for NRI Applicants
- The candidate’s parent should be an NRI and have resided abroad as an NRI for five years, per the guidelines.
- A letter must be provided from the Indian Embassy, Government of India as evidence, together with a certification in the prescribed proforma signed by the parent or guardian.
- A statement from the sponsor says that they are willing to take responsibility for the candidate and will pay the entire course expense.
- The NRI’s bank account passbook for financial help.
- The Financial Sponsor’s visa, passport, birth certificate, work permit certificate and proof of residence are necessary.
For candidates from the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh Union Territories
- Candidates from J&K and Ladakh are unsuitable for the 15% AIQ spots since they withdrew from the All India Scheme. As a result, they must give an online self-declaration to prove their credentials.
- The self-declaration document will be generated instantly and must be saved for future reference during NEET 2022 Counselling.
- The individual’s Self Declaration Form will be verified at the NEET 2022 Counselling. If any irregularities are detected, the nomination may be revoked.
- Students from the UTs, as mentioned above, can take the NEET 2022 test to get admission to private institutions and any deemed university, as well as AFMC, JIPMER and AIIMS, if they match the admission requirements.
Minimum Scores Necessary
With a request to qualifying exam results, the essential NEET 2022 requirements must be present:
- Applicants must have passed the certification test in all the PCB and English subjects.
- A general category student must have scored at least 50% on their board examinations.
- Applicants from SC, ST, and OBC (Other Backward Castes) must score 40% in the board examination.

On May 24, 2022, NTA launched the correction window for NEET-UG 2022. The National Eligibility cum Entrance exam rectification window will be active till May 27, 2022. Candidates can revise their application forms on the NEET website, neet.nta.nic.in.

4. If I took an improvement exam after Class 12, what year of graduation should I write on my NEET application form?
The following conditions must be kept in mind:
- If applicants take the improvement test only to enhance their grades and not due to failure of any courses, they must enter the actual year of graduation.
- If candidates have not completed Class 12 and are retaking the test to pass a certain subject, they must enter “as appearing” or choose Code 01.
- If applicants finished Class 12 with passing marks on the first try and meet the NEET eligibility criteria, they must provide the year they graduated.
5. Can I make changes to my photos using the correction window?
If a candidate uploads an incorrect image in the NEET 2022 application form, they will be notified through email to submit the proper image per NTA norms. Aspirants must input their login credentials and upload the relevant photos within the time limit.
6. I have passed Classes 10 and 12 from two different states. Which state do I choose in the ‘State of Eligibility (for 15% All India Quota)’ domain?
There are no residency restrictions in the admissions process. It makes no difference in which state a candidate finished their higher education. Any candidate can apply to any state save Jammu and Kashmir for the AIQ seats in NEET 2022. Candidates should write the state with their permanent address or the state where they have complete domicile eligibility for the 85 percent state quota seats.
