Do you often feel you don’t have enough time in the day? Do you look back and think the day was terrifically busy? It is to be noted that we all have the same 24 hours in the day. If you are also one of them who are battling with how to make good use of your time, we believe the following time management tips can actually work for you.

1. Tick off the bucket list

Do you have a bucket list? If not, then make it now. List down all the tasks that need to be accomplished, errands that need to be completed and set a deadline. Review this list daily and ensure that you are working on the important tasks first. In addition, post this list on your soft board, study table, door etc wherever you can see it often. This will keep reminding you and you’ll be able to manage your time well and accomplish your tasks before the set deadlines.

2. Do not leave things to the last minute

When you procrastinate, you fail at managing your time. Delaying things to the last minute keeps accumulating the tasks and looks like a burden. Moreover, it disrupts your whole schedule. As a result time management becomes a struggle. It is, thus, advisable not to be plagued by the impulse to procrastinate. Always start early and be firm about the same.

3. Develop the habit of following a schedule

Anyone can make a schedule but what makes a difference is how well you are abiding by the same. When you make a schedule, ensure that you are following it too. This will help save your time and you’ll be able to give time to everything, be it studies, watching your favorite TV Show or catching up with your friends. Make it a habit to follow the schedule and then don’t break it.

4. Utilise in-between spaces

The best way to manage your time is by utilizing it well. Have you ever considered making use of your travel time? Or have you ever done anything productive while waiting for your appointment with the doctor? Instead of sitting ideal or going through your social media feeds, you can actually listen to an audio lecture, watch a video tutorial etc. Utilising such in-between spaces can take care of small tasks leaving enough time for major ones.

5. Find out your productive time

While some people tend to work more productively during the late hours in the night, others thrive during morning hours. It is important to thus figure out which time is most productive to your learning. This will help you tackle difficult tasks with ease and also help in effective time management.

6. Commitment to the task

How committed are you to the task? In order to manage your time well, commit to the task at hand. If you really want to get the work done, limit all distractions, shun everything, unplug all tech devices and focus on the task. Be resolute and do not flake out on your own plan of action to do something else. Commitment to the task can help you smoothly accomplish your tasks, thereby aiding you in time management.

7. Download an App

Living in a techno-savvy world, most of us tend to rely more on our gadgets. And when it is about how to manage your time well, let your smart phone do the task for you. There are innumerable Apps which can be easily downloaded from the App store. From setting a schedule to managing your important tasks, Apps help set reminders and simplifies managing your time.

Yes, most the time I feel the same. Sometimes even I struggle to manage time. Thanks for giving us these tips. Even i used to follow these tips. Daily before starting my work I used to list everything that should be done on that particular day. And I personally know that scheduling is very important part of planning. I feel that I am doing everything right but I am lagging in the execution part. From your analysis, I think I am not finding my productive time and i lack of commitment to the task. Most of the time I fail to complete the task in the predef scheduled time. Once again thanks for suggesting to download an scheduling app for time management.
