How to calculate NEET 2019 score with the answer key?
NEET 2019 answer key by Aakash will help you calculate the probable score in the entrance exam. Based on the score, candidates can also get an idea of the colleges that will accept their ranks according to NEET cutoff 2019. Like normal board exams, NEET 2019 score is not just limited to the number of correct answers multiplied by the number assigned to that specific question. In this, you also have to check the wrong answers and negative marking for them.
As there will be 180 questions as per NEET 2019 question paper pattern, the maximum marks can be 720. As per the NEET 2019 exam pattern, Physics and Chemistry will have 45 questions each while Biology will have 90 questions. - Now calculate the total number of right and wrong answers. For a question where you have marked more than one response, consider it an ‘unanswered’ question. Now use the following marking scheme to calculate your score:
- A = total number of correct answers x 4
- B = total number of wrong answers x -1
NEET 2019 Marking Scheme
Every correct answer in NEET 2019 will get you 4 marks while wrong response will get you a penalty of one negative mark. There is no negative marking for leaving a question or marking multiple responses.

NEET 2019 Question Paper Pattern
As per the official exam pattern of NEET 2019, there will be 12 sets of the question papers including set A, B, C, D, P, Q, R, S, W, X, Y, and Z. The question paper sets will be available in both English and Hindi languages. In addition to Hindi and English, NEET 2019 question papers will also be available in nine other languages including Urdu, Bengali, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Assamese, Oriya, Gujarati and Marathi. Candidates need to choose the language while filling the application form. There will be a total of 180 questions of four marks each. Every negative answer will attract a penalty of 1 negative mark. Official NEET 2019 Answer Key
NTA will release answer key of AIPMT 2019 in the first week of June 2019, which the students will be able to challenge in next two days. The official NEET 2019 Answer Key by NTA will include the correct answers to the questions asked in the exam. NTA will share the answer key on its official website, which the candidates will be able to download by providing their login details. The link will be activated on the site by NTA. This will show candidates how their NEET 2019 preparation went as they will be able to judge their performance before the final announcement of NEET result 2019.
Candidates, who are not satisfied with the answers by NTA have the complete right the challenge the official NEET 2019 OMR Sheet and answer key. To challenge the answer key of NEET 2019, candidates will have to pay the requisite fee of Rs. 1,000 for each answer. Candidates can challenge the answers on the official website of NTA itself. If the board find the challenged answer correct and accept the suggestion, it will refund the money. But it will not publish any answer key with the challenging questions and the revised answers.
How to Challenge Official NEET 2019 Answer Key?
Step 1: Click on the link provided by NTA (The link will be active only after the answer key of NEET 2019 is released by the board)
Step 2: Enter your login credentials created while filling the application form. These usually include candidates’ “Registration Number” and “Password”
Step 3: Click on ‘Key Challenge’ tab
Step 4: Choose the ‘Test Booklet Code’ to find the question you want to challenge
Step 5: Select the correct answer and mention the reason why you think that the chosen one is the correct answer (It is not mandatory to comment)
Step 6: Click on the confirm button
Step 7: Pay INR 1000 to submit your challenge (The fee can be paid through Net Banking or via debit/ credit card)
Step 8: You need to pay INR 1000 for each challenge. So, calculate the fees correctly in case you want to challenge more than one answer.
Step 9: Take a printout of the confirmation slip provided after the successful payment and the details of the answers you challenged
NEET 2019 Results
NEET 2019 results will be released by June 05, 2019. Once the result is announced, candidates who appeared for the exam will be able to check on the official website of NTA. The result of NEET 2019 will include candidate’s score, percentile, result status and All India Rank (AIR). NEET rank/ scorecard will contain the marks scored by the candidates in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology). The rank card will also have NEET All India Rank (AIR) of the candidate as well as All India Quota (AIQ) Rank for the qualified candidates. Candidates will also be allowed to check their OMR Sheets and responses captured by the machine. Counselling and admission process for admission to medical and dental colleges that accept NEET 2019 score will start after the announcement of the result.
NEET Cutoff 2019
To qualify the exam and get a call for the counselling round, candidates need to meet NEET 2019 cutoff. For this, they need to score marks equivalent to the minimum required percentile.
