    Introduction

Board exams are the main turning point of every student’s educational journey and career direction. Many students attempt CBSE board exams every year. But, there are common signs noticed among many students due to board exams. They feel tension, stress, anxiety, and negativity regarding their board exams preparations.

This year, from April 26, 2022, CBSE board exams for Class 10 and Class 12 will start. The detailed date sheet has also been released. Now, it is the final juncture for board students to give 100% for their preparations.

The name ‘board exams’ is so heavy that it makes every student nervous and restless. Many students lose their appetite or sleep by thinking about board exams and their results. This is the pressure that many students feel in their Class 10 board exams journey.

But, with the correct steps, students can reduce their stress. In this article, you will learn some tips that can help you with CBSE Class 12 term 2 board exams preparation

Some Tips for CBSE Class 10 Term 2 Board Exams Preparations

    1. Draw Your Schedule Chart

Preparing a timetable or a schedule chart is the first step toward the path to success. After all, planning is the most crucial step in any exam preparation. To get an excellent outcome in the board exams, it is necessary to plan out things. So, prepare a proper timetable and follow it.

Do not run after long hours of study. Take small breaks between them. It helps your mind to relax, and you will feel fresh. Continuous long hours of studies block your learning capacity, and your mind will stop gaining anything.

Make sure to include some time for playing, listening to music, exercising, and other activities, in your timetable. These activities help you to feel re-energetic and stress-free. Also, these activities help you to be fit and healthy.

Do not choose late-night studying. It makes you restless during the daytime, and you will not be able to wake up early in the morning for exam preparations. Instead of late-night studying, choose to give some time for studies, in the early morning period. It is the best time for studying. Research says that your mind is full of energy, freshness, and vitality in the early morning. So, it is the best time for studying.

    2. Prepare Your Notes

Notes preparation is the second most important thing that helps you score an excellent outcome in board exams. Preparing notes helps you in two ways. First, you get your handwritten notes, including important points on each topic, easily understandable for you. Second, when you make notes, you will study the topics, and it will automatically start to feed in your mind. In this way, notes making is the revision of topics in itself. Notes will come in handy during your final revision before the examination.

Most students face problems while making notes. They don’t know how to make notes and what should be the points they have to focus on when writing notes. To make useful and easy to understand notes, remember:

    1. To write important topics
    2. To make notes in short forms
    3. Use diagrams, charts, or table format
    4. Use headings or subheadings
    5. If there are any formulas, then add them in notes.

    3. Revision Is A Must

‘Short-cut leads you towards the wrong route.’

As your notes are in your hand now, then begin with revision. When you revise topics, do not run after reference books or refreshers. Stick to NCERT textbooks. CBSE preferred the NCERT syllabus. It hardly happens that you will find any question in the board exam that is beyond the NCERT syllabus.

Revise all examples, graphs, diagrams, and practice exercises in your NCERT Solutions. Concentrate on those topics which you find as your weakest points. A good revision leads you to an excellent outcome in your board exams.

For revision, you can also choose the group study method. In this method, you can ask your friends for help to overcome your weak points problems. You share your doubts with them and discuss them for solutions. The group study method changes the boring topic into an interesting one.

Make sure that you start your revision work after completing the whole syllabus.

    4. Focus On Weak Points

To score an optimum outcome, you must focus on your weak points. Now the question comes, ‘how to know about weak points?’ Well, it’s simple by re-evaluating your class test sheets, assessment sheets, pre-board sheets, or solved problems sheet.

Solve all the previous 10-Years sample papers with the latest CBSE mock papers. Maintain a time limit according to board exams while solving them. Check your answer sheets of all tests and mark the points where you have made mistakes repeatedly.

It is the easiest way to sort out your weak points. Check out the concepts of your weak points and work on them repeatedly. If you are unable to understand those concepts, then concern your teachers.

Weak points will result in the deduction of marks in the exams. Recovering from them will surely boost your scores and your confidence level.

    5. Practice Sample Papers More

As the saying goes, ‘Practice makes a man perfect.’ Practice is the only way to bring out the best in you. It is suggested to Class 10 aspirants that they should solve the previous 10-Years sample papers. It helps you in analysing your preparation level. Perform this activity by maintaining the time limit according to board exams. This way, you can work on your speed, accuracy, and time management skills.

By solving sample papers and mock papers, you will increase your confidence level and problem-solving skills. Solving the sample papers is one of the best ways for revising the whole syllabus before board exams.

You will get more familiar with the board exam pattern by solving sample papers. They also help you by letting you free from stress and anxiety about board exams. By regularly solving the practice papers, your chances of attempting wrong questions will decrease.

    6. Stay in Positive Environment

Do you know the environment around us affects us a lot? Yes, it’s true! Research proved that various factors affect your learning ability. One of them is a positive environment.

Those students, who study in a positive and healthy environment, become more confident, active, motivated, and have a high order of learning abilities. However, students, who study in a negative environment, feel dull, lack confidence, are uncomfortable, loud, and have a weak order of learning ability. They get distracted easily.

Therefore, students should be in a positive state of mind and always think that ‘there is nothing that they can’t do.’ Believe in yourself. It will motivate you to fight out your journey of success in Class 10 board exams preparations. Always remember,

‘Positivity knocks on your door when you think positive.’

    Conclusion

Hopefully, the above tips will be useful for you in your board exams preparations. Other than these tips, make sure to eat healthily and take a good night’s sleep daily. Do not let fear overcome your mind. It will only increase your stress level, which ultimately affects your performance in board exams.
