Biology Class 12 Most Important Chapters for NEET 2022

Reproduction: This is one of the simplest topics, and the flow of concepts is so engaging. NEET’s chapter reproduction has an 11 percent weight in the exam, which is a reason to rejoice. 2. Sexual Reproduction in Flowering Plants
    3. Human Reproduction
    4. Reproductive Health

Genetics & evolution: This unit receives a hefty 12 per cent weightage on the NEET exam. Genetics and evolution cannot be studied unless you understand cell division, mitosis and meiosis, and biomolecules. As a result, reviewing these concepts is a good idea to avoid complications later on. Genetics & evolution consists of the following essential chapters.

    1. Principles of Inheritance and Variation
    2. Molecular Basis of Inheritance
    3. Evolution

    2. Biotechnology and its Application

Biology in human welfare: The chapter on biology in human welfare, which includes many topics from the NEET biology syllabus, receives about 5% of the NEET exam’s weight. This is the point at which the vast majority of candidates fail! Because the weightage does not appear to be very high, biological and human welfare concepts are left until the last minute. However, this unit is simple and exciting to understand and increases your chances of scoring optimum. It includes the following chapters:

    1. Human Health and Diseases
    2. Strategies for Enhancement in Food Production

    FAQs

    1. What strategies and study materials should I consider for my NEET preparation?

The majority of questions on the NEET exam, which includes topics from both classes (11 and 12), are from botany and zoology that are vast to cover. As a result, if you want to get a good rank, you’ll need to develop specialised strategies. After finishing your NCERT Biology book, you can utilise some reference books and sample papers. Regular NEET mock tests can also help you tackle fear and speed up response time.

    2. Can I use mobile apps during my NEET Biology preparations?

Yes, students may find NEET Biology more exciting and engaging if they conduct their searches online using mobile apps. Although few experts believe that using mobile apps to study for a test is better than traditional learning methods, it saves time. In addition, it enables you to better understand by illustrating diagrams and concepts more precisely. Thus, you can answer questions more accurately.

    3. Is it possible for me to prepare for the NEET exam at home?

Only those who are familiar with the NEET 2022 syllabus will be able to study for the exam at home. The NCERT textbooks would be beneficial as a primary source of study material, as these books withhold all the important Biology Concepts in a precise way. Also, you need to plan a solid strategy to keep your preparation on track. Remember to identify your strengths and weaknesses and work on the same when preparing for the NEET exam.

    4. What is the NEET exam structure for the Biology section?

The NEET 2022 Biology section will be divided into Botany and Zoology. Sections A and B of both the subjects contain 35 and 15 questions, respectively. In other words, Zoology and Botany both include 50 questions. Students have to attempt all 35 questions from section A, but in B, they can only attempt 10 out of 15. As a result, the total number of questions in the Biology section is 90. Unlike the previous year, students will be allotted 200 minutes instead of 180.

    5. How many questions are expected to be there in NEET-UG 2022, and what is the marking scheme?

The NEET 2022 exam paper will contain 200 multiple-choice questions, 100 from the Biology syllabus and the rest from Physics and Chemistry. However, only 180 of these questions are required to be answered. Students will get four marks for each correct answer, whereas one mark will be deducted for incorrect ones. NEET exam papers include questions from the 11th and 12th-grade curricula; therefore, it’s best to focus on NCERT primarily.

    6. CBSE Class 11 or 12, which one has more questions in the NEET exam and requires more time for preparation?

In the NEET exam, the distribution of questions from the CBSE Class 11 curriculum differs from that of the Class 12 curriculum. For example, approximately 45 percent of the NEET Biology section questions will be based on the Class 11 syllabus. At the same time, 55 percent of questions are from the CBSE Class 12 syllabus. However, you should focus on both the classes’ syllabus, but since Class 12 has a more significant portion in the NEET exam, you need to give it a bit more time and attention.

    Conclusion

The NEET biology syllabus is crucial to success because it constitutes the most significant portion of the entire exam. Therefore, a thorough understanding of the NEET 2022 Biology syllabus is required for medical aspirants to score optimum on the entrance exam. They should know the class-wise syllabus and cover all the essential topics to prepare for the NEET Biology exam. Students must follow a well-structured daily routine and stick to it. Also, utilise the tips mentioned in this article for efficient preparation.
