The administration of the Class 10 and 12 Board Exams for the year 2024 is currently under the oversight of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The Class 10 examination was concluded on March 13, 2024, while the Class 12 exam is scheduled to conclude on April 2, 2024.
Media reports suggest that the assessment process for CBSE Class 10 answer sheets is nearing completion. Based on past trends, it is anticipated that the Board will declare the CBSE 10th Result 2024 in early May, although an official confirmation is still awaited.
Approximately 16 lakh students participated in the Class 10 board examination this academic year. With an average estimate of 5 answer sheets per student, the total count of answer sheets to be evaluated exceeded 80 lakh. Evaluation activities commenced in early March. Following the assessment phase, the board undertakes tasks such as collecting the answer sheets, preparing the results, scanning and uploading copies, and computing the marks. Typically, this entire process spans around 2 to 3 weeks.
It’s notable that in recent years, the board has adopted the practice of announcing both the Class 10 and 12 results on the same day. Additionally, while these results traditionally have been released by the end of May, the central board has taken proactive steps to expedite the release process.
In the previous year, the CBSE Class 10 pass percentage stood at 93.12%, surpassing the pre-Covid pass percentage of 91.10% in 2019. Once unveiled, the CBSE 10th results and marksheets will be accessible on the DigiLocker website and mobile app. Students can utilize their class 10 roll number, school number, date of birth, and admit card ID to verify and download their CBSE 10th Marksheet for the year 2024.
Last year, a total of 2,184,117 students had registered for the Class 10 exams. Out of this number, 2,165,805 students appeared in the exams. Among those who took the exams, 2,016,779 students successfully passed and were promoted to the next class. A total number of 44,297 students scored 95% and above marks in CBSE 10th board examinations.
