The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is gearing up for the commencement of the Class 10th and 12th Practical Exams 2024, scheduled to begin from January 1. In preparation for this, the Board has issued essential instructions for schools regarding the conduction of these exams. The official notice encompasses guidelines related to the schedule, examiners, marking procedures, and other crucial aspects of the CBSE Class 10th and 12th practical exams 2024.
As per the official communication from the Board, “The annual practical examinations/internal assessments/projects for Class 10th and 12th for the session 2023-24 are set to commence from the first week of January 2024. To ensure their timely completion, all stakeholders are urged to adhere to the following instructions.”
Prior to the CBSE 10th and 12th practical exams in 2024, the Board has outlined the following guidelines:
- Confirm that an adequate number of practical answer books have been received in the school before the scheduled practical exam date.
- Inform parents and students about the schedule, format, and any specific requirements for the practical examinations.
- Ensure that necessary arrangements, including infrastructure, equipment, and materials, are in place in the laboratories for the practical exams. Verify that the laboratories or facilities are suitably equipped for students to conduct their experiments.
To facilitate the smooth conduct of CBSE practical exams in 2024:
- Contact examiners well in advance to ensure a seamless and timely examination process on the scheduled date and time.
- Identify students with special needs or disabilities and make necessary accommodations to ensure their comfortable participation in the practical exams.
It is imperative that students adhere to the specified schedule for the practical examinations.
Important points regarding CBSE 10th and 12th practical exam 2024 marks:
- Marks for all Practical Examinations/Projects/Internal Assessments must be uploaded daily, on the date of assessment.
- During the marking process, schools, internal examiners, and external examiners must ensure the correctness of the marks uploaded. Verify the maximum marks assigned to practical/project/internal assessments before awarding and uploading the marks.
For Class 12, schools are not authorized to make alternate arrangements for external examiners at the local level. Practical examinations must be conducted solely by an external examiner appointed by the Board.
Once the marks are finalized and the process is completed, no changes are allowed. Both examiners must exercise due diligence to ensure the accuracy of the uploaded marks.
In the event that schools fail to comply with the Board’s directions, the Board reserves the right to cancel the practical examination. No extensions of dates will be considered by the Board.
