    • 5. Focus on Your Weak Subjects

When we talk about Mathematics, students have a love-hate relationship with it. They either love maths or get goosebumps when they hear maths. But CBSE class 10 Maths is very important as it lays the foundation for the future, especially if you’re aiming for competitive exams like JEE & NEET. Mathematics can help you improve your overall score in class 10, which will help you in getting your desired stream.

Maths is not difficult if you understand the basics well, maths is about understanding and not memorizing. If you think memorizing formulas will help you prepare for your CBSE Term 2 Mathematics exam will help you score well in board exams, then you’re probably wrong. When it comes to maths, practice is the key. This is why we have prepared a list of tips to help you boost your maths preparation:

    1. Make a study plan for Maths

A study plan is the most important thing when you’re preparing for a maths exam. You have to be good at managing your time, otherwise, you won’t be able to complete your maths syllabus on time. This is why you should always prepare ahead of time, familiarize yourself with the syllabus, and write down all the chapters, topics, etc. Now make a timetable for weekdays and weekends, decide how much time you can spare for each subject. While studying mark the topics you are thorough with and make a list of topics you’re struggling with. Give some time for revision as it will help you in memorizing the concepts and keep the information fresh in your mind. You can also make a list of important concepts so that you can pay extra attention to them.

    2. Know about what to study

Many students are so busy preparing for the examinations that they even forget about keeping a track of their syllabus and end up missing the most important topics. You should be well aware of the syllabus and weightage of each chapter and topic. So, that you can pay extra attention to them. NCERT is very crucial for your CBSE class 10 board examination as many questions in board exams are directly picked from NCERT textbooks. Basic geometry, calculations, trigonometry, everything is explained in the NCERT Maths book so well that you will be able to understand them in no time. We suggest you practice more and more questions from the NCERT books. Once you have finished practicing from the book then you can attempt to solve Maths sample papers as well. You can also take help from our NCERT Solutions for Class 10 Maths section for practicing NCERT questions.

    3. Look for the right environment

The environment you study in matters a lot for exam preparation. If you’re always surrounded by people or screens like TV, Laptop, Tab, or Mobile Phone, you won’t be able to focus on your studies. We all have a habit of getting distracted, you might either end up binge-watching or checking your social media again and again. So, we suggest you be thoughtful while choosing the right place to study. Choose a calm secluded place, declutter it, and tell your siblings, friends, and family members to not disturb you during that time.

    4. Practice CBSE Class 10 Maths Sample papers

As we already told you, practice is the key to success. This is why you should practice an ample amount of maths sample papers while leveling up your maths board exam preparation. This will help you in understanding the exam pattern, difficulty level, and the type of questions you will be getting in each section. If you practice enough, you might be able to finish the actual Maths board exam before time, leaving room for cross-checking your answer sheet. You can download CBSE Class 10 Term 2 Maths Sample paper from the official website of CBSE https://cbseacademic.nic.in/SQP_CLASSX_2021-22.html

    5. Focus on Your Weak Subjects

Once you start solving maths term 2 sample question papers, you will get an idea about your strengths and weaknesses. Once you are aware of your weaknesses, start paying extra attention to those topics. A lot of times students make the mistake of ignoring the concepts they find difficult to understand, which eventually makes them lose marks in board exams. We suggest you not make such mistakes and turn your weaknesses into strengths with practice.

If you are persistent then no one can stop you from scoring well in Maths, as it’s a subject that requires understanding and application instead of memorization. We wish you all the best for your CBSE board exams.
