In today’s world where the pressure to excel and stay above other students causes stress in the minds of the students, it is very important to stay determined and focused on your goal.

Take out 5 minutes and take a look at these five important qualities that a student needs in order to stay on top of the game.

    1) Goal Planning

Set your goals and plan for them accordingly. Just setting goals will not help you. Make a detailed plan as to know what is to be done in order to achieve your goals.

    2) Perseverance

Perseverance is the key to success. Stay determined to achieve your goals. There will be times when you will be frustrated and feel like giving up. Get past such times. Keep the vision of your goal in mind and never give up.

    3) Believe in yourself

To be able to achieve your goals, you must first believe that you can. You should never use words such as ‘I can’t’, ‘I won’t be able to do it’ as this will deter your spirit. Believe in yourself and you will be able to achieve any goal with constant effort and determination. Using the right attitude will also help you achieve your goals.

    4) Yearn to Learn

Learning never ends. Don’t ever think you have learned everything and there is nothing more to learn. Yearn to learn more. Learn from your parents, teachers, peers and friends. There is no limit to what you can learn. Be observant and try to grasp all the things that you observe around you.

    5) Pro-active approach

Having a laid-back attitude is not going to be of any help. You can only build a successful career for yourself if you have a proactive approach.

In short, good students always remain teachable and surrender themselves in search of acquiring Knowledge. They focus on character building and developing a balanced personality. They always make their parents and teachers proud of themselves proud of their achievements.

I have enrolled myself in Aakash. I am a 10th standard student. I am finding very difficult to manage both school and Aakash. Please suggest me.

        Hi Ishita,

Thanks for sharing your query. Hard work and dedication are required to crack any entrance examination. I understand that at times it becomes really difficult to manage the school as well as coaching classes. The amount of work received from both of them is also very high making it difficult. But if you have the dedication to get into one of the best colleges then you will have to manage both simultaneously. There is never time for anything but if we want to achieve anything in life we need to take out time for it.
