As we all know that digital learning was already taking a boom in schools and universities but the noble COVID pandemic has forced schools and universities across the globe to shift online in a hassle. There has not been any announcement on when the schools will reopen, so for now and months to come online learning is the only option for both students and teachers.

Digital transformation is changing everything in our day-to-day lives. Honestly, if we look at the bigger picture it’s more like an opportunity for both students and instructors. As they can enjoy the flexibility, save time, and indulge in more extracurricular activities that were sidelined earlier.

Digital will be the new normal, even when COVID-19 gets controlled and schools reopen again. The pandemic has literally shaken up things and changed our lifestyle completely. It’s very likely that many students will still continue to learn online as it offers more flexibility, multiple resources to learn from, and ease of relearning concepts in case something gets missed. Aakash Hybrid Courses are designed to help students adapt to the new learning environment. They offer students the leverage of a hybrid module where students can attend online classes as well as physical classes.

Online learning is here to stay, and here are 5 reasons why

    • Geographical Independence

Many times parents could not get their children into schools as per their wishes due to geographical locations. Sometimes they’re too far and they settle for schools that are nearby. But with e-learning, you can bring world-class education to your kids without even letting them step out of your home. Now you can break the geographical barriers and unleash the potential of your children.

    • Scope for more extracurricular activities

Online learning brings students the opportunity to indulge in many other extracurricular activities. As when they’re engaged in learning remotely, it removes the traditional barriers of schools, including sports clubs, music, physical education, etc. By remote learning, students can save a lot of time and support their courses with some other extracurricular activities of their choice. It could be baking, cooking, painting, dancing, martial arts, gaming, acting, etc.

    • Flexible Schedule

For most students who are enrolled in e-learning courses, flexible scheduling is actually possible. If the lectures are pre-recorded, students can create their own schedule, which works best for them. If the kids are young, then parents can create a schedule that matches their routine. On the contrary, instructors can create and structure their lecturers in advance if they’re occupied in the coming days. If we compare virtual and physical learning, e-learning offers more flexibility to everyone, including students, parents, and teachers.

    • Best Education at Affordable Prices

The coronavirus pandemic has literally shaken businesses and in one or the other way monthly income has been impacted. If in this scenario schools were open, the tuition and travel charges would definitely have dug a hole in everyone’s pocket. Sometimes while students are preparing for JEE Main and NEET the parents also often struggle as they have to bear the school fees and institute charges along with course materials. But now with remote learning, these things can be easily manageable and students can get all the required course materials in one go. The struggle of looking out for course materials and high prices is now over.

Here’s a list of course materials you can access for free:

    • NCERT Solutions Class 12
    • CBSE Class 10 Term 1 Board Answer Key & Solutions
    • CBSE Class 12 Term 1 Board Answer Key & Solutions

    • Increased Involvement of Parents

In a traditional school setup, the involvement of parents usually gets very limited. But now whether they’re little kids or teenagers, parents can keep an eye on what their kids are learning, whether they’re attentively attending classes or not. They can also collaborate with teachers and design a curriculum or course that fits the child’s capability of learning.  Parents can help the students in doing their assignments and point out areas on which they need to focus more.

    Conclusion

Online learning is opening doors for both students and teachers who were earlier limited by their geographical location or lack of resources. But based on the present scenario, many more universities and schools will continue to offer online classes and courses even post-pandemic. The future is digital, in the coming years, both students and parents will have access to many e-learning courses. That would apparently open a wide array of career opportunities for students.
