Monsoon – it’s that time of the year again! Grey skies, heavy rains, slippery streets and late transport, the monsoon brings havoc in our normal life with so many problems. Students are among the ones who face lots of problems due to thunderstorms and downpour. It not just hampers their coaching classes but also spoils their complete schedule for preparation of competitive exams like NEET and JEE. Students have to miss classes and stay at home due to the fear of books getting ruined, flooded streets and late transport.

With monsoon, the first thing that comes to mind is spending the crucial time watching Netflix, lazing around and sleeping for 12 hours straight as it is almost impossible to move out to attend school or coaching classes. But on a greater thought, that’s a total WASTE. Do you really want to waste away your precious time doing absolutely nothing productive? No, any serious student who is clear about their goals and aims to crack entrance exams like NEET and JEE won’t waste even a single minute of their life.

If you also don’t want to waste the limited time left for NEET/JEE preparation by bunking the classes, here are some tips to make the most of your time when it’s raining outside.

    1. Take Up an Online Course

The best way to make use of your time at home in monsoon is to join an online NEET or JEE course. The greatest part about this is that it’s online! You can join the live interactive classes from the comfort of your home and continue preparation of your entrance exam. You don’t have to travel to far off places in flooded streets; it’s all available at your fingertips with Aakash Digital. There are so many online courses available nowadays where you can select from live classes or recorded video lectures. It’s a matchless way to be both comfortable and not guilty for missing your studies due to bad weather.

    2. Solve Online Tests

If you have already enrolled for classroom coaching for preparation of competitive entrance exams and not able to attend classes due to bad weather, you can utilize your time for revision and practice. As per the new NEET/JEE format, the medical and engineering entrance exams will now be conducted in a purely online format. To prepare for new computer-based NEET exam pattern, you should take online tests. On sites like Aakash Digital, you can find ample practice tests like daily practice tests, mock tests, previous year papers and AIATS. When at home, you can solve these tests and get ready for the new exam pattern. It will not just give you an idea of the revised pattern but will also help you boost your confidence for the final day. By solving online tests, you will be able to form your strategies, make a list of the things that can hamper your performance and ways to tackle them. For instance, what is the system stops working in the examination hall? To tackle this problem, you should save your all the answers and you will be able to develop this habit only when you solve online tests regularly.

    3. Use the Time for Revision

Since you cannot move out to attend the classes in heavy rainfall, you can utilize the time for revision. You can work on the weak areas and convert them into your strengths. If you think that reading the same things time and again is not going to help you understand the concepts, you can buy the subject wise online course in the form of recorded video lectures. The benefit of these videos is that these have an easy explanation of difficult concepts by experienced teachers, making it easier for the students to understand the concepts. Further, online course provider like Aakash iTutor also provides the facility of doubt clarification in ‘Ask an Expert’ section, which means you don’t need to wait for classes to restart to clear your doubts. You can ask your doubts direct from the teachers in ‘Ask an Expert’ section and prepare well for the exam.

Often in life, we postpone things and procrastinate. Monsoon is the time to make up your mind and do stuff. With digital learning, even the bad weather, fatigue and traffic jams are no excuse. Now there’s not much stopping you from achieving your goals.

Start online preparation of computer-based exams to give your NEET/JEE preparation a right direction.
