Preparing for Entrance Exams is not easy and it gets more difficult to manage your time between studies and daily activities. While you need to study different subjects with several chapters, it is also very crucial to take out enough time to relax for Physical activities. Follow these tips to manage your time more efficiently and get positive results:
1. Prioritize tasks at hands:
The syllabus to be learned will always be a lot! Make sure to set aside chapters that carry the highest weightage & make these of the top most priority. The most important and longest chapters should be finished first as they take a lot more time than expected.
2. Make a to-do list:
Every night before going off to sleep, make a to-do list for the next day. In this list, mention every task that you plan to do that day. Also, allot enough time to the smallest of all things. Make sure you have enough time to relax as well as for physical activities.
3. Set Realistic Goals:
The goals you wish to achieve in your to-do lists should be realistic and feasible to complete within the allotted time. Unrealistic expectations with limited time will only mess up your schedule and will disappoint you. Whereas, achieving your realistic goals will keep you motivated.
4. Stay away from distractions:
In order to manage your time efficiently, it is very important that you stick to the schedule and concentrate on whatever it is that you are doing. There are many times, when while studying we often get easily distracted and start dreaming. This must be avoided. Also, keep your mobile phones and internet off while you study.
5. Take a breather:
While preparing your schedule, do not overburden yourself. Take proper rest and allow some extra time in your time table for unforeseen circumstances. Your schedule might not always go as planned, so be prepared for it from the beginning. Don’t rush through the syllabus in order to complete it on time as half the concepts won’t register properly in your brain and will lead to a wastage of time.
6. Learn to Say No:
If your friends want to go out with you or your family wants you to attend some family function, but you are lagging behind on your schedule, then simply say no. However, that does not mean you can never take breaks. Make sure to take regular breaks when it is convenient for you.
7. Take care of your Physical and Mental well-being:
Your life can be quite stressful. Make sure you sleep for eight hours every day to keep your mind and body well-rested. This will be really helpful as being stressed or tired will only decrease the efficiency of the brain and also the level of your concentration.
Now that we have made time management easier for you, we are sure you will be able to manage your time in a more productive way!
