NEET is a country-level competitive examination held by the National Testing Agency. Every year lakhs of students across the country give the NEET exam, but only a few thousand are selected. Students need to prepare themselves really well for the exam to score the marks needed to get into a medical college. Analyse Your Knowledge And Abilities To Decide Which Subject Needs More Time:

You should be well acquainted with each subject’s difficulty level during your preparation to plan your time accordingly.

    Biology

Biology does not demand critical thinking skills. It is mostly about having to cram the theory parts. Biology can be your strongest subject if you are good at remembering scientific facts, diagrams, scientific names, concepts, and definitions. Please do not forget that many NEET Biology questions are based on diagrams, so you know all of the diagrams by heart.

    Chemistry

Chemistry is a bit more complicated than Biology as it includes both theoretical and practical parts. NEET Chemistry Syllabus is further divided into three parts— Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Inorganic Chemistry. As far as Physical Chemistry is concerned, there are lots of formulas involved, which, if you remember clearly, you can solve most of the questions from this section. For Organic Chemistry, you need to master the chemical reactions. If you succeed in doing so, you will be able to answer most of the questions from it in the exam as almost all of the questions are to the point and straightforward. For Inorganic Chemistry, learn the periodic table by heart and memorise the properties of each element. Keep revising until you have them at your fingertips. Inorganic Chemistry can increase your NEET Chemistry score to a great extent if it is taken seriously.

    Physics

For most students, Physics is the most challenging subject in the NEET Syllabus. Many concepts are involved, and most of the questions in the NEET Physics paper are application-based. It will be a nightmare for you to solve those questions in the exam if you haven’t practiced them regularly. You should be well aware of all the concepts, formulas, and their applications if you want to solve most of the problems in the exam. Practise more and more questions during your Physics preparation until you get a hold of it.

    Previous Year Cut-Off:

The cut-off marks to enter a medical college through the NEET exam is increasing yearly as more students are getting serious about their studies and careers. Competition in every field has increased drastically; therefore, students must stay mentally prepared to face the higher cut-off. You need to work really hard and put in your best efforts to secure a medical seat in a government medical college. Analyse the syllabus carefully, study everything, and pay special attention to the most important topics of the syllabus. Only if you study hard as well as smart can you fulfil your dream of securing a medical seat in a government medical college.

    Study From NCERT Book:

You must study NCERT textbooks for Class 11 and 12 very carefully if you want to get a high score on the NEET exam. Of all the study materials for the NEET exam, NCERT textbooks are the most important ones. Most of the questions asked in the NEET exam are directly from the NCERT textbooks or based on the concepts discussed in them. Over the years, the NEET paper has been analysed, and it has been concluded that the students who study the NCERT textbooks thoroughly can solve most of the multiple-choice questions in the exam.

    Prepare Your Own Notes:

While preparing for the NEET exam, you refer to many study materials from different sources. Revising it all before the exam is incredibly important, and it can only be done if you have it all in the form of compact hand-written notes. If you do not have time to prepare hand-written notes, just add extra points here and there to the textbook, reference book, and printed tuition notes that you are studying to better understand the concepts discussed there. A good set of notes serves as an important asset just before the exam.

NEET Preparation Tips & Tricks: How To Prepare For The Exam?

    Effective Time Management:

To finish all parts of the syllabus within time and have enough time left for revisions, managing time well during your preparation is very important. Everyone is given only twenty-four hours to study as well as to carry out other day-to-day activities. If you don’t plan your time well in advance and do whatever you want whenever you want, you will find it very hard to finish the syllabus right until the last moment. Dividing your time efficiently between all three subjects and other extracurricular activities will give you enough time for every chore, and your preparation will also not suffer.

Don’t Forget To Solve The Previous Year Question Papers And The Mock Tests:

Everyone keeps emphasising the importance of solving Previous Year Question Papers. However, still, most of the students keep on postponing it to the last moment until the time is so short that they cancel the plan of solving them altogether. This leaves their preparation incomplete, and they end up scoring average marks in the exam. Solving Previous Year Question Papers is extremely important for any competitive exam. It acquaints you with the paper pattern and helps you formulate a strategy to tackle the question paper. Additionally, every year, around 10-15 questions in the NEET paper come directly or indirectly from the previous year’s papers.

Solving Mock Tests is equally important. It teaches you time management skills and makes you aware of your weak points in the syllabus. It is always better to know your weaknesses before the exam and find ways to correct them, rather than struggling to solve problems in the exam because of them.

    Set A Goal:

Competitive exams are not a joke. Students who don’t have a goal and a plan do not succeed. They are always one step behind someone else who knows what they are doing. Setting small, practical goals for the coming days and dates is good. Succeeding in achieving these small goals will help you achieve bigger, more substantial goals in the end.

Your small goals can be completing a specific chapter or topic in two days or finishing a sample paper thirty minutes before the time usually given. Fulfilling these small targets will instil a sense of achievement and positive vibes in your brain, motivating you to move on in your journey with new vigour and confidence.

    Conclusion

No secret formula or magical spell can help you score high marks in the NEET exam. What will help you is pushing yourself beyond your limits and utilising your capabilities upto the maximum. If your dreams do not scare you, you are probably not dreaming enough. Start now and bring that focus to working hard towards achieving your goal. Once you do that, success will undoubtedly follow.

    FAQs

    1. What should be my daily schedule to crack NEET 2022 with a good score?

If you want to succeed and crack NEET 2022 with a good score, you must follow effective strategies to guide you through your preparation. However, there is no one plan that will fit everyone. What works for you might not work for someone else and vice versa. Just go through the syllabus and analyse the time left before the exam. Make a doable timetable with all the remaining parts of the syllabus distributed over the days left before the exam. Follow that timetable religiously. Waking up early in the morning to study productively works for most students. But if you are a night person, it is completely ok. Do whatever suits you best but stick to it.

    2. Can I crack NEET 2022 by self-study?

It is possible to crack NEET 2022 by self-study, but you will also need lots of self-motivation. As discussed earlier, you should first analyse all parts of the syllabus and make a timetable. Then, you should make a point to follow that timetable without making excuses. Most parts of the NEET Syllabus can be memorised and self-studied. Some parts, however, need expert guidance, especially the concept-based chapters from Physics. Keep attending mock tests during your preparation to keep track of your mistakes and improvements. Also, try to make your own notes for every chapter so that you can revise those later and retain the information for a longer duration as well.

    3. Is NEET a tough exam?

The question paper of the NEET exam is moderately easy, and students can easily answer most of the questions if they have a solid preparation. But the problem is that lakhs of aspirants give the exam every year, and there are only a few thousand medical seats. The high competition and a limited number of seats make the NEET exam very difficult for most candidates.

    4. How many hours should I study for NEET?

There is no fixed number of hours you should study for NEET. It depends on your memorisation capacity and the extent of the syllabus you have completed by far. It also depends on the time left before the exam. However, experts suggest that students should study for at least 6-7 hours daily to achieve a good score on the NEET exam.

    5. Is NCERT enough for NEET Biology?

NCERT is the best study material for NEET Biology. Analysis of the previous year’s NEET Biology papers have revealed that most of the questions in the paper are from NCERT textbooks. The questions are either directly repeated from there line by line or are indirectly based on the concepts discussed in there.
