Vigorous study schedules, mock tests, coaching classes & self-study sessions are all a part of your daily life but don’t let all of this stress your body out. While you might feel that sitting in one place and studying is not really exercise, it still tires your body. Take small breaks between studying different topics and chapters to get more clarity and to give rest to your brain. Make sure you are not thinking about pending work or studies while you take these breaks.
5-minute break which will rest your mind and help you focus better:
Take a walk
You don’t have to necessarily get your sports gear out, wear your running shoes, and leave the house. Just walk around inside your home & think about anything except for studies. This helps in the circulation of blood.
Stretch
Sitting in a chair all day and studying will jam your muscles and you will repent later. In your 5-minute breaks, do short stretching exercises. These will help to take your stress away and will freshen you up as well.
Drink Water
Get up from your desk and get yourself a big glass of water. Your mind and body need to stay hydrated in this stressful time around exams. A hydrated brain works better and more efficiently so it will only prove to be good for you.
Organize
Students tend to get so occupied with studies around their exams that they leave everything aside. Remember that a mind will concentrate better in a clean environment. Clean your room, make your bed, and arrange your desk in a proper manner. This will prove to be helpful when you start studying again.
Listen to Music
There is nothing better than music to take away stress. Plug in your headphones and listen to some fun music. You can also dance a little while you’re at it. Listening to music will simply relax your nerves and freshen your mind.
Try not to commit to a big task in this 5-minute break. If you take longer breaks too often, it gets harder to go back to your study mode. Be smart and wise about what you want to do in these 5-minute breaks!
