The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued a notice in regard to the round 1 NEET UG Counselling 2022. The committee had shared a notice mentioning that the “candidates can resign from their seat of Round 1 till 1 November 2022 up to 5 pm after which they will be considered as part of Round 2 counselling and same rules will apply on them as applicable for Round- 2 of counselling.”

Further, it mentioned that candidates are to ensure that their Resignation Letter is generated online through the official MCC website – mcc.nic.in, allotted by colleges, and failing to do so, the resignation letter will be considered Null and Void. In such a case, candidates will be deemed to occupy the seat still, and the rules of Round 2 will apply. Any letter other than Resignation Letter generated through the online portal will not be considered as a ‘Resignation Letter’. In case a candidate is resigning by sending an email to the college, he/she should make sure that they receive the resignation Letter generated through the online portal of MCC.
Candidates should make sure that the resignation letter is downloaded and submitted via the MCC portal latest by 5 pm on 1 November 20222.
