The National Testing Agency (NTA) is currently accepting JEE Main 2022 Session 1 registration forms. The JEE Main 2022 online application process started on March 1, 2022, and will end at 5:00 PM on March 31, 2022, on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. JEE Main 2022 aspirants still have 2 days to fill in the JEE Main 2022 registration process. For the current academic year, the NTA is not going to provide a separate correction window to make changes to forms that have already been submitted.
The authorities have stated:
“Candidates are requested to fill in the application form very carefully. No corrections will be permitted once the application form is submitted”
JEE Main 2021 Correction Window
For the academic year, 2021, NTA conducted four sessions of JEE Main 2021 exam. These sessions were conducted during the months of February, March, July and August 2021. The application process for the first session was conducted from December 16, 2020 to January 16, 2021. Thereafter, the successfully registered candidates were given the option to make changes in their submitted form during the correction window which was opened from January 19 to 21, 2021.
During the correction window, candidates could make changes in their personal details, educational details as well as re-upload the scanned images. This facility was particularly useful for those who had committed certain mistakes in their forms. However, the facility may not be given in 2022, as implied in the information brochure.
During the correction window, students were able to edit/update personal and educational information and re-upload the required scanned images. There was an option to edit or update almost the entire application form.
For JEE Main 2022, students will not be able to make any changes to the application forms once submitted.
JEE Main 2022 Correction Window- What do Students have to say?
When we talked to 40 students who have already submitted their JEE Main 2022 application forms, we found out that 9 students out of them were hoping to be able to edit their forms as they have made some mistakes while filling out the JEE Main 2022 Online application forms. If we talk about the total number of students who have already submitted their forms, the number of students who are hoping for a correction window can be huge. For such students, JEE Main 2022 Correction Window is the only way to edit their forms.
Is there a possibility of a JEE Main 2022 Correction Window?
Currently, there are assumptions floating around that the NTA will issue another notice to inform students about the correction window. However, this idea has not been denied or confirmed by government officials.
As of now, candidates have no option but to stay updated with any notification to be released by the authority. Students are advised to check the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in for any important announcements.
Candidates who have already submitted the JEE Main 2022 application form have no choice but to wait for the JEE Main 2022 Correction window in case the forms contain discrepancies. However, if you haven’t submitted the form yet, don’t make any mistakes and wait for the correction window. Instead, you should focus on getting all the details before you hit the submit button in the remaining 2 days.
The registration for JEE Advanced 2022 is also likely to begin soon in July. If you want to boost your JEE Main preparation, you can attempt JEE Mock Tests by Aakash BYJU’s.
