National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an important advisory and instructions for the candidates for Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2022 Session 1 (June 2022). The JEE Main 2022 exam would begin on Thursday and the admit cards for the same were released on the NTA website on Tuesday. We have listed down all the important points mentioned by the NTA in its advisory notice, candidates are advised to read them carefully.
NTA Advisory and Instructions for JEE Main 2022 Candidates
Download Admit Card
As per the instructions released by the NTA, candidates should download their JEE Main 2022 Admit Card from the NTA website – jeemain.nta.nic.in and check the following points as indicated on the Admit Card:
- Reporting Time at Centre
- Gate Closing time of Centre
- Date of Examination
- Shift and Timings of Test
- Venue of Test

Get Familiarise With JEE Exam Centre Location
Candidates are advised to visit the JEE Main 2022 Exam Centre in advance and get familiarised with the location and means of reaching the venue of the Test on time.
Reach JEE Exam Centre on Time
Candidates should reach the exam venue at the Reporting Time mentioned in the Admit Card. Candidates who are late will not be allowed to enter the exam venue.
Important Items to Carry at the JEE Exam Centre
- Colour A4 paper printout of JEE Main Admit Card
- One passport-size photograph is to be pasted on the attendance sheet
- A valid Photo ID Proof in original. Note that no candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall without ID verification.
- PwD certificate issued by the Competent Authority

Face Masks Will Be Provided at Exam Centre
NTA will provide a face mask at the exam centre. Personal masks of candidates will be disposed of in a closed pedal push bin provided at the Centre.
Check Medium of JEE Question Paper
Candidates should make sure the subject/medium of the Question Paper available on the computer screen is the same as indicated in the Admit Card. If not, the same may be reported to the Invigilator concerned.
Do Not Carry Following Items
Candidates should not carry any Instruments/ Geometry/ Pencil box, Handbag, Purse, any kind of Paper/ Stationery/ Textual material (printed or written material), Eatables and Water (loose or packed), Mobile Phone/ Ear Phone/ Microphone/ Pager, Calculator, DocuPen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Camera, Tape Recorder, to wear/carry any type of watch including Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices in the Examination Hall/Room There may not be any provision for safe keeping of valuables at the Centre.

How To Revise the Complete JEE Main Syllabus Before the Exam
Instruction for Diabetic Students
NTA has allowed Diabetic students to carry eatables like sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) and transparent water bottles to the Exam Hall. However, packed foods like chocolates/candy/sandwiches, etc. are prohibited.
Blank Paper for Rough Work
NTA will provide Blank paper sheets for rough work. Candidates must write their name and Roll Number on the sheet, and drop it in the designated drop box before leaving the exam hall.

Fill in the Attendance Sheet
Candidates must fill in the Attendance Sheet in legible handwriting, put their signature, Left Hand Thumb Impression (make sure it’s clear and not smudged), and paste their Photo at the appropriate place.
