Mathematics is a subject that needs constant practice. The more you solve problems, the more you grasp the concepts and effectively apply them while solving numerical problems.

For JEE Main 2022 Maths preparation, time is precious for JEE aspirants. Therefore, it is essential to manage the time so that you can not only complete JEE Main 2022 Maths syllabus on time but also revise strategically. Normally, students tend to freak out excessively during answering Maths questions due to a lack of time management. Particularly in the case of JEE Main exams, they sometimes leave high-weightage questions unaddressed

In this article, we address some gaps and mistakes that students make during JEE Main exam preparation. Also, we will assist you in preparing a highly effective JEE Mains 2022 Maths Timetable for Best Results.

Need of Maths Timetable for JEE Main 2022 Preparation

A comprehensive, efficient, and result-oriented Maths timetable is required to score well in JEE Main 2022 exam.

    • A timetable is an integral part of JEE Main preparation because not having one tends to waste your day.
    • Without a timetable, you can’t decide where to start and for how long you need to study. Moreover, you are not motivated and remain unproductive throughout the day.
    • You achieve your small goals within a specified time daily consistently.
    • It helps you stay organised.
    • It gives you a fair idea to strategise your next goals, habits, and steps.

Watch our video on the last 50 days’ Preparation strategy for JEE Main 2022 Mathematics.

The following steps need to be followed when preparing for JEE Main Maths Section:

    1)Make JEE Main Maths Notes

It is advisable to make notes while studying Maths. Notes are generally an extract in your words of what you have learned. Try to make short, simple notes and revise them the next day before starting another topic.

    2) JEE Main Maths Formulas at Fingertips

Mathematics is all about learning formulas and applying them. Try to mug-up all-important formulas at your fingertips. Practise as many questions as possible based on each kind of formula. As an effective option, make a list of important formulas and place them near your desk or stick them on a wall for a quick glance.

    3) Devote Time to solve Maths Previous Year’s Question Papers (PYQs)

Solve loads of previous year’s question papers to understand examination patterns, marking schemes, and important and repetitive questions. Furthermore, students get a proper idea of the time required for each question paper section once they start solving PYQs.

For example, if it takes exactly two minutes to solve a multiple-choice question, students require effective time management to attempt a maximum number of questions accurately. There is no choice to improve time management during the final exam other than solving JEE Mains previous year’s question papers in tonnes.

    4) Understanding JEE Main Examination Pattern

Understand JEE Main 2022 Maths question paper pattern and divide time accordingly.

    • The question paper is 300 marks.
    •  It has 20 MCQs (each correct question will get 4 marks and an incorrect one will get a -1 mark).
    • It has 10 Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions (you can attempt any 5 out of 10 questions. You will get 5 marks for each solved question, and there will be no negative marking in JEE Main maths.

Dedicate a minimum of 2 hours for mock tests in your JEE Mains study routine. Mock tests are a perfect tool that will help you get a report of your performance, and areas where you lack. Also, solving Maths mock tests regularly will increase your speed and accuracy.

    2) Allot Time for Revision

It is mandatory to allot time in the study plan for a comprehensive Maths revision. Every Maths topic is vital for JEE Main 2022. So, start revising from an easy topic and then move gradually to complex ones. While revising one chapter, ensure to cover every possible type of problem. Give time to chapter-wise revision and make sure that you finish one chapter within a given time.
