We at Aakash bring out 10 tips to help you prepare for entrance exams:

    1. Create a Practical Study Plan

Students usually spend more time planning than actually executing the plan. So, make sure to create a plan which can be successfully executed. You should give more time to the topics which you find to be difficult and keep some spare time in between so that you can complete all the pending tasks.

    2. Know your Strengths and Weaknesses

Everyone has specific strengths and weaknesses in life. It is pretty clear that if you are not clear on your weaknesses then you are neither clear about your strengths. Playing to your strengths and sailing through your weaknesses is the best exam strategy you can rely on.

    3. Read the Questions Carefully

Examiners try to trap students by playing around with the questions. So it is important that you read the questions carefully to understand what is required and see the various options with concentration. Watch out for the questions which are designed to have more than one correct answer and you are supposed to choose the option with multiple correct answers.

    4. Plan your Exam Strategy

Planning the way you attempt various questions is very important to crack any competitive exam. One of the most significant things before appearing in an entrance exam is not to waste time on questions that seem to be difficult. Finish all the sections that you are really good at so that you can dedicate a larger time to the difficult ones.

    5. Train your Mind for the Exam

Your mind should be well prepared to perform during an exam. Try to solve sample papers in the same time slot when you would be having your exam so that your mind is trained to be super active during that period.

    6. Practice the Previous Year’s Papers

Practicing the previous year’s question papers should be left for the last couple of months before an exam. You should time yourself while answering these so that you can compare your scores. Also, try to attempt the test papers in the time period when you will be having your final exam.

    7. Learn all the Shortcuts

Every student has shortcuts that they use to prepare for entrance exams. Be it for remembering formulas or memorizing charts, using shortcuts will certainly save you time. There are some standard shortcuts that you can tap into but creating your own would be much more beneficial.

These notes include a comprehensive list of everything you will ever need to crack your entrance exam. You can visit our website www.aakash.ac.in to get access to these.

    9. Stay Physically and Mentally Balanced

Keeping yourself and your mind healthy is often neglected during exam preparation but it can have adverse effects on the final outcome. Exercise daily and sleep well so that your mind and body are fresh during the exam. Avoid sleeping late and keep your mind tuned so that it works best in the time slot of your final exam.

    10. Practice and Practice to the Maximum

There is no substitute for practice. More than 70% of the exam preparation involves practice. Use this time effectively by studying through us which can help you plan, save time and improve accuracy.

Study hard and practice a lot! Your hard work and perseverance will pay off and you will definitely crack any Entrance Exam! ALL THE BEST!
