Conventional education has always been a major way of attaining knowledge. Historically, the primary educational technique of traditional education was simple, Oral recitation. Later on, it arrived at terms with, Writing. So that, the future generations could study about the past events and about their ancestors accurately. Typically, the traditional approach was that students sat quietly at their places and listened to teachers reciting lessons until each had been called upon to ask questions, solve the problems and clear their doubts.

With time both teaching and learning techniques changed. Students got access to different mediums to learn new concepts. In 1924 the first testing machine was invented. This device allowed students to test themselves. Long before the internet and the digital learning mediums were launched, distance courses used to be offered to provide students with education on particular subjects or skills.

One of the biggest inventions in the educational sector was e-Learning. The term e-Learning has only been in existence since 1999. With the introduction of the computer and internet in the late 20th century, digital learning tools and delivery methods expanded. Online learning mediums like a computer, laptop, mobile phones and tablets allowed students to access educational modules using electronic technologies. The emergence and development of e-Learning enlightened many students to learn and understand the concepts even without going to traditional classes and coaching centers. Millions of students wish to learn through digital mediums as it biases in accordance with their pace and mood.

The Convenience of Learning at Home:

Students living in destitute places where traditional classes aren’t nearby, online learning appears as an answer to this problem. One of the broadly acknowledged advantages of learning through digital mediums like live interactive classes is that it is available anywhere and anytime globally. It gives an opportunity to students living in rural areas to attend coaching classes to crack difficult and highly competitive exams like NEET and JEE. Numerous online courses are available in the form of live classes and video lectures.

    Costs and Economic Concerns:

There are many students who aren’t financially and economically independent to serve justice to their choice of course and field. Since few of the courses like medical and engineering turns out to be really expensive than others. Even the coaching classes for medical and engineering entrance exams are too expensive for some students to afford. Studying through digital learning mediums means that you only pay for coaching and learning material. Online courses give an opportunity for the students to realize their dreams, who don’t have enough funds to manage their living and educational costs both at once. By opting for online coaching, you can save the money spent on the daily commute and other expenses associated with the coaching classes.

    Flexible Schedule:

Taking an online course permits students to work according to one’s own pace and time. With the recorded video lectures, students don’t need to attend classes by traveling to faraway places. Students can watch it anytime they feel like and repeat the lectures to revise the syllabus. Taking an online course also means that you don’t have to commute to class, which means less time spent on the commuting and more time for studying whilst sitting at home. Moreover, you no longer have to bother about driving and missing an important class.

    Multi-tasking:

If you take online coaching for NEET, JEE or other competitive exams, you can manage both your school and coaching. After you get home from school, you can relax for some time and then can attend live class at home. Further, the syllabus for competitive exams is prepared wisely to help students prepare for both boards as well as entrance exams.

    Peer Support:

While learning online you study from fellow students as well as from teachers in a connected environment. This makes the communication easy for the students who feel uncomfortable to ask doubts in the traditional classroom. In online classes, you might compare notes, share insights, and even figure out ways to work together in the future without a hesitation. The internet doesn’t separate people by city, county, state, or country borders. As the students come from different cultures that helps in understanding and respecting the diversity of cultures. It indeed broadens the horizons and students grow a powerful learning involvement and understanding.

Learning through digital mediums has come as a blessing for the students who don’t have access to the quality coaching. Further, it has also given students the freedom to learn at their own pace. With subject wise courses at platforms like Aakash iTutor, students can now buy only selected study material to strengthen their concepts and ace the competitive exams.
