The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2022 is an all-India entrance examination for MBBS admissions held once a year. According to the NMC Act, 2019, the NEET Undergraduate (UG) is the single entrance exam for admission to all medical colleges across India. Nationality Qualifications For NEET 2022

- As per the Supreme Court of India, passing the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is required before MBBS/BDS degrees throughout the country for OCI/PIO/NRIs.

NRI Applicants’ Requirements
- According to the guideline, the candidate’s relative must be an NRI and have lived overseas as an NRI for at least five years.
- A piece of evidence from the sponsor of NRI/OCI/PIO status in the form of a letter from the Indian Embassy / Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, along with a certificate in the stipulated proforma signed by the Father/Mother/Guardian on non-judicial stamp paper worth Rs.50.
- A declaration from the sponsor stating that they are responsible for the candidate and will cover the total course fees.
- The bank account passbook of financial support of the NRI.
- Passport, Visa, Proof of Residence, Birth Certificate, and Work Permit Certificate of the Financial Sponsor is required.
For Applicants From The UTs Of Jammu Kashmir And Ladakh
- As J&K and Ladakh withdrew from the All India Scheme, candidates from these two states are ineligible for the 15% AIQ slots. They must therefore provide an online self-declaration to verify qualifications.
- The self-declaration sheet, alongside the confirmation page, would be created automatically and must be preserved for referral during NEET 2022 Counselling.
- During the NEET 2022 Counselling, the applicant’s Self Declaration Form will be confirmed. If any inconsistencies are discovered, the candidacy may be cancelled.
- Students from the UTs mentioned above can give the NEET 2022 exam for enrollment to private colleges and any private/deemed university and AFMC, AIIMS, and JIPMER, provided they meet the inclusion criteria.
Qualifying Requirements For Seats In Participating Bodies In NEET 2022
- Other medical colleges enrolling for NEET 2022 include Armed Force Medical College (AFMC) in Pune, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in Uttar Pradesh, and Jamia Hamdard University in Delhi. They will also take NEET 2022 marks into account when making admissions decisions.
- Yet after fulfilling the admissions criteria, AFMC demands a further testing procedure. The candidate must enrol separately on the AFMC’s official website in Pune.

Qualifying Codes For NEET
While filling out the NEET 2022 Registration form, NEET candidates must select the NEET qualification codes for the passing exams. The NEET qualification codes are described in this section below:
Code 01: All applicants who will appear for their Class 12 board exam in 2022 and are awaiting their board results must pick this code. However, these aspirants must have completed their class 12 until enrollment, as specified by the standard, or they will be ineligible.
Code 02: Candidates preparing for a higher/senior secondary level examination or the Indian School Certificate Test (ISCE), similar to the Class 12 test, must select this course. Science disciplines such as PCMB, or any elective fields with English as a key subject, must be covered in the last two years of this study, according to the NCERT. Candidates who graduated from high school in 2021 or earlier and have not continued their studies must choose this code.
Code 03: Applicants who have passed an Intermediate/Pre-degree Exam in Science from an Indian university/board or another recognised body must apply this code. This programme should include a scientific evaluation. Students who have already passed a state board’s class 12 or related certification exam must additionally pick this code.
Code 04: This code must be used by aspirants who have cleared a Pre-medical Test after clearing either the Higher Secondary Examination or the Pre-University or an equivalent qualification in PCMB and English. The Pre-professional/Pre-medical test will contain practical assessments in these disciplines and English as a required subject.
Code 05: This is for entrants who have enrolled in a three-year degree programme at a recognised institution that includes PCB as required courses and have completed the first year, including practical exams in these subjects. Applicants must be aware that the certifying examination must be a University Examination.
Code 06: Candidates need to select this code through the NEET 2022 Application Form procedure if they have cleared the BSc Exam from an Indian university with at least two of the following subjects: Phy, Chem, Bio or Bio Biotechnology. They must have also cleared the prior board examinations (10+2) in Physics, Chemistry, English, and Biology.
Code 07: Entrants who have passed some other exam comparable in purview and criterion to an Indian university/Intermediate board’s Science Examination (years of 10+2 study comprising PCB and English; that also shall incorporate practical tests in these disciplines) must use this code.
NEET Scores & Qualifications
- NEET 2022 is open to those who have cleared the qualifying test in class XII.
- Applicants must have taken Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology in Class XII and cleared all of their disciplines.
