Amid all speculations, NTA has finally released the information brochure for JEE Mains 2021. The brochure consists of the entire schedule of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2021. JEE Mains Entrance Exam 2021 dates, exam pattern, syllabus, eligibility criteria and other such details are what students can get to know here.
JEE MAINS 2021– Exam Dates
JEE Mains, an important entrance test for admission in IITs, NITs will be held from February 23 to 26. The application forms will be available at the official website- jeemain.nta.nic.in from 16th December 2020 to 16 January 2021. As the education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal had announced, the engineering entrance will be held in multiple shifts from next year — February, March, April and May, the recent notification by NTA consists of details of all 4 sessions.
JEE MAINS 2021– February Shift Exam Details
- Beginning from 23rd February, the first session of JEE Mains 2021 exam will end on February 26.
- The exam will now be held in a new pattern. The candidates will get a choice to attempt 75 questions out of 90 – or 25 out of 30 questions in each section of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.

JEE Mains 2021- Mode of Examination
JEE (Main)-2021 will be conducted in the following modes:
- a) Paper 1 (B.E. /B. Tech.) in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only.
- b) Paper 2A (B. Arch): Mathematics (Part-I) and Aptitude Test (Part-II) in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only and Drawing Test (Part-III) in pen & paper (offline) mode, to be attempted on drawing sheet of A4 size.
- c) Paper 2B (B. Planning): Mathematics (Part-I), Aptitude Test (Part-II) and Planning Based Questions (Part-III) in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only.
JEE Mains 2021– Choice of Medium of Question Papers
Medium of the Question Papers: Drawing form the National Education Policy (NEP), the JEE (Main) 2021 will now be conducted for the first time in Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu for the first time, in addition to Hindi, Gujarati and English.

JEE MAINS 2021– Admit Card
- The e-Admit Card would be issued provisionally to the candidates through the NTA website: jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- Candidates will have to appear in the examination at the given Centre on the date and shift/timing as indicated in the e-Admit Card.
- In case there is an issue while downloading the Admit Card from the website, any candidate can approach the NTA Help Line Number: 0120-6895200 between 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
JEE Mains 2021– Key Takeaways
- JEE Main will be held in 4 shifts in February, March, April and May, keeping in mind the student’s interest.
- The exam will be held from February 23 to 26, March 15 to 18, April 27 to 30 and May 24 to 28, 2021.

Also, all documents supporting the education qualification certificates.
JEE Mains 2021 – How students will get benefitted by New Exam Pattern?
The JEE (Main) 2021 will be conducted in 4 sessions from the next academic session. The candidates will thus be benefitted in the following ways:
- Students will get multiple opportunities to improve their scores in the examination if they are not able to give their best in one attempt.
- Students will get a first-hand experience of taking an examination and will know their mistakes which they can improve while sitting for the next session.
- The new exam pattern is said to reduce the chances of dropping a year and droppers would not have to waste a full year.
- Students who miss the examination due to various reasons will not have to wait for one full year.
- There is no obligation to appear in all the four Sessions. Still, if candidate appears in more than one Session, the best of Scores will be considered for preparation of Merit List/ Ranking.
JEE MAINS 2021– Age Limit
There is no age limit for the candidates applying for JEE Mains 2021. Students who have passed the class 12 / equivalent examination in 2019, 2020, or appearing in 2021 can appear in JEE (Mains) 2021 examination.

Candidates are advised to carry only the following with them into the examination venue:
- Admit card along with Self Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA Website (a clear printout on A4 size paper) duly filled in.
- A simple transparent Ball Point Pen.
- Additional photograph, to be pasted on attendance sheet
- Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml).
- Personal transparent water bottle.
- Sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) in case the candidate is diabetic.
