National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is an entrance exam carried out for admissions to the 5-year integrated program in Biology, Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry at NISER, Bhubaneswar, and the Department of Atomic Energy Center for Excellence at the University of Mumbai in Basic Science.
The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) has extended the last date for registering for the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2022 entrance exam to 21 May till 11:45 pm. So, candidates can still have the time frame to apply for NEST. The aspirants can apply at the official website — nestexam.in. As directed by the official website, the NEST 2022 examination is scheduled to be conducted on 18 June 2022, and the result will be declared on 5 July 2022. The admit card for the exam will be released on 6 June 2022.
NEST 2022 Application Process
- Visit the official NEST 2022 website at nestexam.in.
- Click the ‘Register’ tab on the homepage.
- Enter your personal details, email ID, and mobile number to complete the registration process.
- Fill out the application form with the necessary details, and then upload the documents.
- Submit the application fee.
- Download and save the application form for your reference.
NEST 2022 Eligibility Criteria
- Age limit: To appear in the NEST 2022 exam, aspirants should have been born after August 1, 2002 (General category), while SC/ST/PwD candidates have 5-year relaxation (born after 1 August 1997) to appear in the NEST 2022 exam.
- Educational qualification: Candidates must have successfully passed the class 12th exam in Science stream from a recognised board in India with aggregate 60% in class 12th board exams. Whereas, candidates from SC/ST/PwD categories should have scored a minimum 55%.
- Application Fees: The registration fee for General/OBC category male candidates is Rs 1200. While, female and SC/ST/Divyangjan category candidates will pay Rs 600.
