The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has introduced the Special Stray Vacancy Round for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG). This round pertains to the allocation of seats for the 50% All India Quota (AIQ) and 100% deemed and central universities, AFMS, PG DNB seats through NEET PG special stray vacancy round counseling.
From November 17 to November 25, candidates can make their choices for the NEET PG 2023 special stray vacancy round. The result of the NEET PG 2023 special stray vacancy round will be announced on November 25, and successful candidates are required to report to their allotted colleges between November 25 and November 30.
Additionally, the MCC has scheduled the NEET PG special stray vacancy round for state seats from November 25 to 28. The deadline for reporting and joining for admission is November 30.
State counseling authorities are instructed to manage the seat processing for the NEET PG 2023 special stray vacancy round of states after eliminating candidates allotted in the special stray vacancy round of MCC.
It is important to note that candidates who already hold a seat or have joined through AIQ or state counseling, including private and deemed quota seats, are not eligible to participate in the special stray vacancy round of MCC. The official notice emphasizes that the Special Stray Vacancy Round is not an upgradation round, and candidates who have joined in earlier rounds will not be given a chance for upgradation.
