The NEET 2021 exam will now be conducted on September 12, putting an end to all the confusion over the exam date and mode of the National Entrance Cum Eligibility Test (NEET) 2021 for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, and BHMS Courses as per the relevant norms/ guidelines/ regulations notified by the concerned Regulatory Bodies. It is said that the exam will be conducted in 11 languages, including English and Hindi through Pen and Paper mode on September 12, 2021 (Sunday) following the covid-19 protocols. The online application process for the same will begin from 5 pm tomorrow through the NTA Website.
The NEET Exam which is conducted to get admission into the top medical colleges was delayed twice last year and was finally held in September. However, this year’s test is not likely to be delayed.
As stated earlier, the plan was to conduct the NEET Exam online similar to JEE which is meant for admission into the top engineering colleges, however, the government has decided not to make any changes to the NEET-UG exam pattern this year.
The ministry of education had also been anticipating to hold NEET twice annually from this year, however the plan has been dropped for now. The director general Mr Joshi also confirmed that the test will be held only once this year as it is believed that there is no point in changing the pattern at the last minute.
A meeting was held between the education ministries where no consensus could be reached regarding the exam to be conducted twice a year. Officials believed that making any changes to the NEET Exam pattern at this point will be quite unfair to the students and will put an additional burden on them.
Furthermore, the information Bulletin containing detailed information regarding the test, syllabus, eligibility criteria for age, reservation, categorisation of seats, examination fee, cities of examination, State Code, etc. is available on the official website.
If we attempt more than 10 questions in Section B of every subject on Neet 2021, will there be any marks deduction?
Hi Adrija,
Thanks for sharing your query with us. 4 marks will be awarded and one mark will be deducted for each wrong attempt. If you attempt extra questions there will be no positive or negative marking, it will be a complete waste of time.
