    JIPMER 2019 Registrations have been released from 6th March 2019. All the interested medical candidates can now fill the online registration form for the exam that is to be held on June 2nd. It is a nationwide entrance exam to get admissions into UG medical MBBS Courses. JIPMER 2019 will be conducted by the Jawaharlal Institute Postgraduate Medical Education & Research. This course helps students to get admission in the MBBS courses of the university and also in its affiliated campuses. The application form can be filled through the online medium only. Students can register for the entrance exam from March 6 till April 12, 2019.

    Through this article, we will provide you with the complete details about JIPMER 2019 including the admission process.

    JIPMER Puducherry will be leading JIPMER 2019 for admission to MBBS courses on June 2 in 120 major cities of India. Along with the application form the official prospectus of the entrance exam has also been released. It is mandatory for the aspirants to register in order to appear for JIPMER 2019 Entrance Exam. Candidates are allowed to fill the JIPMER Application form till April 12. The exam is a computer-based test and the registration process is also completely online. It is one of the most important exams conducted for MBBS admission in the country apart from AIIMS MBBS & NEET. This medical entrance exam offers admission to 150 seats at the JIPMER, Puducherry campus and 50 seats at the JIPMER, Karaikal campus. It is estimated that about 1.5 lakh candidates will appear for the JIPMER 2019.

    Second Counselling 24th July 2019
    Third Counselling 21st August 2019
    Final Counselling 26th September 2019
    Admission formalities & Issue of Admission Letter & Letter for Hostel accommodation 1st & 2nd July 2019
    Commencement of Course 3rd July 2019
    Closing of admission 30th September 2019

    JIPMER 2019 Eligibility Criteria

    JIPMER aspirants must ensure that they fulfil the JIPMER 2019 eligibility criteria before filling the application form. Candidates who will not fulfil the JIPMER eligibility criteria are not allowed to appear for the exam. Therefore, you should make sure to check the eligibility criteria of JIPMER 2019 well in advance.

    Criteria Requirements
    Nationality Candidate must either be an Indian National or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)
    Age Limit Candidate should complete the age of 17 years at the time of admissions or by December 31, 2019. This means they should be born on or before January 1, 2003. There is no upper age limit in JIPMER MBBS 2019.
    Academic Qualifications Candidates should have cleared Class 12 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as the mandatory subjects. Unreserved Category candidates should have cleared Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology with a minimum aggregate of 50% while OBC/SC/ST/OPH candidates should pass these subjects with a minimum aggregate of 45% in Class 12. While for UR-PH aspirants, it is 45%

    • To fill the online application form, you need to visit the official website.
    • Candidates are required to fill in the basic educational details.
    • Download a copy of the filled in application form and keep a copy of the same for the future purpose
    • All those candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria then need to make the payment
    • Once payment is complete, candidates can then download the Admit Card in the third week of May 2019.

    The JIPMER Admit card will contain the following details:

    • Exam date
    • Venue
    • Time of Examination
    • Roll number
    • Personal Details
    • Photograph & Signature

    Note: It is mandatory for aspirants to carry the admit card along with a valid ID Proof (Aadhaar or Passport) and the photocopy of the same ID proof to the examination hall.

    JIPMER 2019 Preparation Tips

    Know about the complete Syllabus

    Candidates should mainly refer to NCERT books in order to prepare for this entrance exam. You can also refer to Aakash study material, previous year papers, sample papers available on our website.

    Plan a Study Schedule

    A proper study schedule for preparation of JIPMER 2019 is extremely necessary. Candidates should prepare a proper time-table which has equal time for revision, rest as well as practice.

    Practice Sample Papers

    Practicing Sample papers will also help candidates in tracking their performance.  JIPMER Puducherry has very soon decided to release mock tests for students in order to enhance their preparation.

    Be Ready for the Final day of the exam

    The exam duration of JIPMER is 2.5 hours. Considering the time limit, students should plan out an encouraging exam strategy that is going to help them in the final exam. Candidates should pay more focus on the weaker sections and make sure to attempt less time-consuming sections first.
