Appearing for JEE Main 2019 but not sure about the registration process, syllabus and exam schedule? Then, there is something for you to read.
As released earlier, the National level JEE Main exam will now be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) which was earlier conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). This year, the exam will be conducted twice a year in January and April, in the online mode only.
The January session of the exam will be conducted in 8 sittings from 6-20 January. The applications for the same will open online on 1st September and the last date to submit the completed applications is 30th September. The result of the exam will likely be declared in the first week of February. Admissions to institutes like IITs, NITs and CFTIs will be based on the JEE Main 2019 scores. Moreover, for appearing in the JEE Advanced exam 2019, candidates will have to first qualify the JEE Main exam.

*The schedule for other events like the issue of admit cards, application correction window, availability of answer key and OMR sheets hasn’t been released by NTA authorities as of now.
What’s new in JEE Main 2019?
- From 2019 onwards, JEE Main will be conducted by NTA
- The exam now will no longer be available in the offline mode, as it will be conducted in the online mode only
- The frequency of the exam has been increased from once to twice in a year. The exam will be conducted in January and April
- Each session will have 8 sittings with candidates having the option to book their own session
- Since the exam is going completely online, provisions are being made to ensure candidates get familiar to functionalities of the computer-based test through various mock tests. NTA will set up mock test centres across the country in August where candidates can go and practice during the weekends.

Steps to fill the JEE Main 2019 Application Form
Step 1: Registration
Aspirants will have to get registered using details like their email id, mobile number and Aadhaar number. Candidates who belong to such areas where Aadhaar details are not available can use some other identification document for registration.
Step 2: Additional Details required
The next step is to fill in your personal, academic and contact details.
Step 3: Verification
Here, candidates have to get their email id and mobile number verified. This verification process is done to ensure easy communication with the candidate.
Step 4: Upload Documents
Candidates need to upload the photograph and signature of their own as well as their parents.
Step 5: Pay Application Fee
Both online and offline modes are available. To make an offline payment, first, download e-challan and then deposit the fees at a nearby Syndicate Bank/ICICI Bank/ Canara Bank.
Step 6: Slot Booking
After paying the fees, the aspirant has to book a slot from the available options. Slots will usually be offered on first-come, first served basis.
Step 7: Print of Acknowledgment Page
Lastly, the candidate has to take a print of the acknowledgment page
Declaration of Result
The result of the JEE Main 2019 Exam January session will be declared tentatively in the first week of February. The result will include details such as subject-wise and overall marks obtained. It is still not clear, whether it will include the All India Rank or not. Based on this result, a merit list will be drawn to shortlist candidates for counselling, which is likely to take place in the second week of June. Allotment of seats will be based on both the rank of the candidate and the various choices filled.

Thanks for sharing the information on JEE Main 2019 Exam. The major change is that it will be held online and students will get 2 chances for scoring well in the exam. Students need to work on their computer skills to improve their efficiency.
