Indian Institute of Technology (Rank 03)
The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is one of 23 IITs established as a center of excellence for education, research, and development in science, engineering, and technology in India.
Established in 1961 as a Faculty of Engineering, the institute has later declared an organization of national importance under the Technical Institute (Revised) Act of 1963 and renamed the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. It was subsequently given presumptive university status with the power to determine its own study policies, take its own examinations, and award its own degrees.
Jamia Millia Islamia (Rank 33)
Jamia Millia Islamia is a public university established in 1920. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university has 9 research faculties, 38 teaching and research departments, and 27 teaching and research centres. In 2015, JMI Daily was certified NAAC with an ‘A++’ rating.
Delhi Technological University (Rank 36)
Delhi Technological University, which was formerly known as the Delhi College of Engineering (DCE), is a public university in Rohini, Delhi, India. It was established in the year 1941 as Delhi Polytechnic. It started awarding degrees in 1952 after it was affiliated with the University of Delhi.
Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (Rank 63)
Founded in 2008, Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi is a state university in Delhi. The university specialises in information and technology and interdisciplinary areas. The campus is spread over 25 hectares. In 2014, the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology in Delhi was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an “A” rating. IIIT Delhi has also been awarded a 12-B status by the UGC or University Grants Committee. NIRF ranked the institute 63rd in the engineering category in 2021. Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) (Rank 88)
Formerly known as Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) has consistently produced some of India’s brightest minds over the years. The NSUT campus covers aprox 145 acres of land. The faculty of NSUT Delhi aims to grow young people into bright individuals of tomorrow for society’s advancement. NSUT Delhi has established itself as a leader in engineering education and continues to maintain this prestigious position. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (Rank 108)
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University was established on 28 March 1998 by the government as Indraprastha University (IPU). The University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (India) under Section 12B of the UGC Act. The University has been named after the ancient mythical city of Indraprastha and occupies an important place in the epic Mahabharata. In 2001, the university was officially renamed Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) after the teenage Sikh Guru Gobind Singh.
Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (Rank 161)
The Indira Gandhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) situated in Delhi was founded in 2013. This is a state university and is owned by the government. IGDTUW Delhi is a girls-only institution and recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
