Every mistake teaches us something substantial and every failure provides us with some insight that helps us in our upcoming endeavors. The same can be said for NEET or any competitive exam for that matter. If you could not crack NEET 2018, don’t worry, it has taught you a lot even without you noticing. So, don’t get disheartened and sad over your results, instead, pull up your socks for NEET 2019 and make your dreams a reality by utilizing your experience from your first attempt.

Here is a list of things that NEET 2018 has taught you, which can now be pivotal to your performance in the next attempt. Things you learned in your first attempt at the medical entrance exam will help you fuel NEET 2019 and crack the exam.

    1. Knowledge of Weak Points

Now that you’ve given an attempt to NEET, you know exactly what went wrong. You know what are your weak points. You know exactly where you made mistakes in the examination hall. The silly mistakes, the conceptual blunders, and last-minute nerves can all pose a problem. You can give it a rational thought and overcome these obstacles having faced them firsthand. You are more equipped to recognize and rectify your shortcomings. Now that you have a limited time left to prepare for the next NEET 2019, you can master each topic with great precision by joining Aakash Digital Repeater Course specially designed for students who are giving the medical entrance exam a second try.

    2. Understanding of the Paper Pattern

This is another benefit that attempting NEET 2018 has brought you.  You are completely aware of the paper pattern and the setup. You know the loopholes and the time management techniques you have to work on. Having knowledge of the paper pattern will help you in filling the OMR a notch better than a first timer who has seen it for the first time. You can critically analyze the topics that are integral to the preparation and focus on them.

Further, now you know which type of questions you need to practice more and can accordingly choose daily practice tests, mock tests, sample papers or previous year papers from Aakash Digital . You can solve as many practice tests as you want to in order to check your progress and work on the weak areas.

    3. Increased Confidence

While taking NEET 2019, you’ll be much more confident knowing that you have done this earlier and are well prepared this time. Your past experience of the exam will fill you with enthusiasm and an undying will to achieve your dreams this time around. In addition to this, you have already covered most of the syllabus for the previous attempt and only need to practice a lot and smoothen you rough edges by watching recorded video lectures on specific topics. You can learn how to tame your last-minute nerves to get the best of your ability.

    4. Focus Only on Your Goal

You don’t have to take your 12th board exams, which means you can solely focus on your only goal, i.e. NEET. It gives you much more time and mental space to prepare only for it. Further, by joining online NEET coaching to attend classes at the convenience of your home, you can save more time and energy to focus on your preparation.

    5. Edge Over First Timers

You will have a definite plus point as compared to the first timer as you know what it feels like sitting on the d-day and in that very intimidating setup. By using your experience, you can overcome your last minute nerves more efficiently. You have a better idea of what works in the exam center and what does not. Further, you have already revised the syllabus and now you need to work only on strengthening your concepts.

Sometimes candidates mug up shortcuts, which they end up forgetting in the very intense environment of the exam hall. So, you won’t make those mistakes.

Keep in the mind that failure is not always bad. Sometimes, it teaches you good lessons, which you can utilize for your benefit. Use your experience of taking NEET once to improve your performance in your second attempt and ace the exam with top rank.

Mistakes do happen in life. Whether it’s an exam or some other things. The thing is we must not lose hope and try to attend it without repeating the same mistakes again in the second attempt. Thanks for your valuable suggestions. One of my cousin sister is going to attend NEET exam for the second time. So these tips will help her very much. That’s true we will know where we went wrong so that we can rectify those things this time. When we have already attended the exam so this time we will know the exam pattern very well. We will have more confidence to attend NEET PG this time. Also with these we will have edge over first timers.
