    The central board of Secondary Education conducted successfully the Class 10th Mathematics paper across India and abroad. The exam was conducted from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. There were some centres where the examination was delayed a little due to the late arrival of the question paper. Overall, the Class 10 Mathematics paper was conducted smoothly.

    As far as the difficulty level of the exam was concerned, it was a moderate and well-balanced paper. Most of the students found it to be easy to slightly difficult.

    As per the teacher’s reactions, the CBSE Maths Class 10 paper was moderately difficult, with a good mix of easy, moderate, and challenging questions. While there were some students who found the paper quite easy, others struggled with the questions that required a deeper understanding of the concepts and other calculations. All in all the Class 10 CBSE Mathematics exam paper was catering to the need of all sections of the students. Some tricky questions and competency-based questions made the students apply the acquired knowledge. The paper was well-balanced and planned in such a way that all those who followed NCERT will be able to perform well.

    Hemant, a class 10 student also stated that the questions ranged from simple to a little tricky but were mostly direct and simple.

    • The difficulty level of the CBSE Class-10 Maths paper was from Easy to Medium.
    • After detailed analysis, the breakup of the Maths paper is
    • Easy questions – around 50%
    • Moderate questions – around 40%
    • Difficult questions – around 10%
    • Difficult questions were from Chapters Triangles & Surface Areas & Volumes
    • The average score expected by the students overall is 60 to 70 on the exam.
    • The pattern of the paper was the same as given in the sample paper issued by CBSE.

    CBSE 10th Mathematics Paper: Section-Wise Analysis

    Section –A:

    • This section was 75% Easy and 25% Moderate.
    • This section contains 1 mark each
    • All questions were from the prescribed NCERT Textbook.
    • The number of easy questions in this section was 15 and moderate type of questions was 5.
    • No confusing and lengthy questions in this section.

    Section –B:

    • This section was 85% Easy and 15% Moderate.
    • This section contains 2 marks each.
    • All questions were from the prescribed NCERT text book.
    • There were no confusing questions in this section but the questions were lengthy.

    Section –C:

    • This section was moderate.
    • This section contains 3 marks each.
    • All questions were from the prescribed NCERT text book.
    • There were no confusing questions in this section but the questions were lengthy.

    Section –D:

      • This section was moderately difficult.
      • This section contains 5 marks each
      • All questions were from the prescribed NCERT textbook.
      • There were no confusing questions in this section but the questions were lengthy.

    Section –E:

    • This section was moderately difficult.
    • This section contains 4 marks each.
    • All questions were from the prescribed NCERT textbook.
    • There were some conceptual questions in this section but the questions were lengthy too.

    CBSE 10th Maths Paper 2023: Overall Exam Analysis by Our Experts for Standard Mathematics (Code: 30/4/2)

    • The difficulty level of the CBSE Class-10 Maths paper was from Easy to Medium.
    • After detailed analysis, the breakup of the Maths paper is
    • Easy questions – around 40%
    • Moderate questions – around 50%
    • Difficult questions – around 10%
    • Difficult questions were asked in Chapters Areas Related to Circles & Pair of linear equations in two Variables.
    • The average score expected by the students overall is 50 to 60 in the exam.
    • The pattern of the paper was the same as given in the sample paper issued by CBSE.
