The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is an entrance exam conducted in India for students who wish to pursue undergraduate medical courses such as MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) and BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) in various medical colleges across the country. NEET is the only entrance exam for admission to these courses in India.
NEET is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The exam is conducted once a year in the month of May. The NEET exam comprises of multiple choice questions (MCQs) covering the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology).
