Types of JEE Exams
JEE exams are of two types: JEE Main and JEE Advanced.
JEE Main is the first stage of the exam, and it is conducted twice a year (usually in January and April). It is a computer-based test that assesses a student’s knowledge of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The exam is conducted for a duration of 3 hours and 20 minutes and consists of multiple-choice questions.
JEE Advanced is the second stage of the exam, and it is conducted once a year. Only those students who qualify in the JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. JEE Advanced is a paper-based test that assesses a student’s knowledge of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The exam consists of multiple-choice questions as well as questions that require numerical answers, and the duration of the exam is six hours.
