To be a winner, you need to prepare like a winner. Tushar Singla, a student of Aakash IIT-JEE, secured AIR 107 in JEE (Advanced) 2019. Tushar believes that Aakash changed his life and helped him to realize his dream. Let’s read further to find out more about Tushar’s journey from an Aakashian to an IITian.

I had a great learning experience during my two-year journey with Aakash. Everything right from the faculty, study material, infrastructure, and environment provided at Aakash helped me achieve my goal. The best thing about Aakash, according to me, was its regular tests, individual doubt sessions, quality and sufficient study material, competitive environment and regular motivational sessions.

I truly believe that the teachers at Aakash played an important role in my preparation and success. From the very beginning, they were very supportive. In times of need, they motivated me to do better and guided me in the right direction. Whenever I had any doubts, I could easily contact them. In fact, during the crucial time before the exam, I used to call them multiple times on their number and they always cleared my doubts.  For me, they were my friends with whom I could discuss all my problems. In fact, on several occasions, we used to spend hours discussing a single question and these very discussions proved to be very helpful in the long run.

The study material provided by Aakash was easy to understand as it contained illustrative theory and a large number of application based questions. It was quite sufficient and there was no need to purchase extra books except the NCERT textbooks. The package consisted of Target which comprised of questions which helped polish our basic concepts, Aakash Challenger that comprised of advanced level questions that are imperative for success in JEE. Apart from that, we had Success Achiever for JEE Main and Success Magnet for JEE Advanced that were based on the difficulty level of the JEE exam. This helped us practice well for the exam and instilled immense confidence in us. Apart from that, we were provided with weekly assessments in the form of E-caps which proved tremendously beneficial as it contained conceptual questions which helped strengthen our concepts.

There were times when I struggled with time management. However, instead of worrying, I tried to make the best use of the available time by studying whenever and wherever possible be it during travel or while waiting in queue for my appointment. Apart from that, I made it a point to stay away from smartphones. This helped save a lot of my time.

Further, the All India Aakash Test Series (AIATS) at Aakash helped test my potential at All India level and where I stand among lacs of students across the country. I found the questions in AIATS more conceptual and of slightly higher difficulty level than JEE. Attempting AIATS helped me analyze my performance and identify my weaknesses.

Speaking of weaknesses, I used to commit a lot of silly mistakes in my tests. So I consulted with my teachers and took steps to overcome them. Gradually with enough practice, I could see a significant reduction in the mistakes. Apart from that, I found it particularly hard to mug up topics in Inorganic and Organic Chemistry. Remembering different formulas in Trigonometry in Maths was a nightmare for me. When I shared these concerns with my teachers, they asked me to focus on the understanding of concepts. Instead of mugging, I started paying attention to concepts, and gradually everything seemed easy. The best way to remember formulas is by solving as many questions as possible. In addition, I maintained a separate notebook for formulas, important terminologies and equations, which I used to go through every day.

In short, Aakash played a significant role in my success and helped me achieve my dream. I would suggest all the aspirants to join Aakash for its highly qualified and well-trained faculty, regular tests, individual doubt sessions, AIATS, well-planned teaching schedules and Aakash CBT. Aakash CBT offers a platform where we can attempt tests in online mode which is very important as JEE is now conducted in CBT Mode only. It offers real exam level mock tests crafted by expert Aakash faculty and provides personalized score improvement reports. Apart from that, have faith in your abilities and always stay positive.

    Thank you!

    Tushar Singla
