The Tamil Nadu School Education Department unveiled the examination timetable for Class 10, 11, and 12 students on Thursday. School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi announced the schedule during a press briefing in Chennai.
According to the newly released timetable, the Plus Two public examination is slated to begin on March 1 next year with a language exam, continuing until March 22. Meanwhile, the Plus One exam is scheduled to commence on March 4, concluding on March 25. Simultaneously, the SSLC public examination is set to begin on March 26, running until April 8.
Examinations are scheduled to run from 10:15 am to 1:15 pm, with a 15-minute window from 10 am to 10:15 am provided for students to peruse the question paper and confirm other details before the commencement of the test.
Minister Poyyamozhi emphasized that the examination timetable is designed to incorporate a three to five day gap before major subjects, allowing students ample time for better preparation.
Results for the public examination are slated to be announced on May 6 for Class 12, May 14 for Class 11, and May 10 for Class 10. Practical exams are scheduled from February 12 to February 17 for Class 12, February 19 to February 24 for Class 11, and February 23 to February 29 for Class 10.
In consideration of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Minister Poyyamozhi assured that the exam schedule was crafted with a strategic approach. If any conflict arises with election dates, the department will make decisions accordingly.
