The Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Advanced 2022 was held on 28th August 2022 from 9 am to 12 pm for Paper 1 and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm for paper 2. It was a computer-based test. The paper was divided into three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The question paper consisted of different sets of questions such as objective questions with either single or multiple correct answers, comprehension problems, matrix match, and integer type questions. JEE Advanced 2022 Exam Analysis & Student Reactions – Paper 1
Overall, students found the exam to be moderate to difficult.
Chemistry Section
Students found the chemistry section to be a balanced one and covered the Class 11 and Class 12 NCERT Syllabus. Chapters like Inorganic Chemistry were largely from NCERT. In Organic Chemistry, questions were mostly asked from Amines, Polymers, Biomolecules, etc. Under the Physical Chemistry section, questions were majorly asked from chapters like Electrochemistry, Chemical Equilibrium, and Atomic Structure.
Physics Section
The physics section had three questions from Rotational Motion, two questions from Thermodynamics, two questions from Modern Physics, and two questions from Capacitors.
Mathematics Section
Students found the Mathematics section to be quite tricky. There were questions that were asked from Functions, Matrices, Vectors, Probability, Harmonic Progressions, Trigonometric Questions., Complex Numbers, and many others.
