The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced an extension for the online registration window of the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for Undergraduates (NEET UG 2024) until March 16. Interested candidates can now register for the medical entrance exam via the official website at exams.nta.ac.in.
Initially slated to close on March 9, the application window for NEET UG 2024 has been prolonged to accommodate more candidates. The registration process will conclude on March 16, 2024, at 10:50 PM. “In support of the student community, the registration for receiving online Application Forms for NEET (UG) – 2024 is extended,” states the official notice.
Scheduled for May 5, 2024, from 02:00 PM to 05:20 PM, NEET (UG) 2024 will be conducted in pen and paper (offline) mode across India and 14 cities outside the country.

- Retain a printout of the confirmation page for future reference

Over 25 Lakh Applications Received:
According to a report by TNN, NEET UG 2024 has garnered more than 25 lakh applications, marking a significant increase of 4.2 lakh compared to the previous year. Notably, over 13 lakh applications have been submitted by female candidates for approximately 2 lakh available seats, encompassing various medical disciplines.
NEET UG 2024 Exam Pattern:
The NEET (UG) 2024 will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions covering Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology), with 50 questions allocated to each subject divided into Sections A and B. The exam duration is 200 minutes (3 hours and 20 minutes), commencing from 02:00 PM to 05:20 PM.
NEET (UG) – 2024 will be conducted in 13 languages: Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
