Every year the NEET results are declared as a percentile score. Admissions for MBBS courses in government colleges are based on merit, i.e., a candidate must earn a score equal to or more than the cut-off score declared by the esteemed government colleges.

The parameters for merit and cut-offs change yearly based on the number of candidates applying and the seats available. Thus it is important to note that qualifying for NEET and scoring the highest score possible will ensure a seat in a government college.

So, to understand how many marks are required in NEET for MBBS in government college expected cut-off scores need to be considered.

Of the total 51,252 medical seats available in the country, 48,012 are reserved for MBBS students. At the same time, the applicant candidates are in lakhs. In 2020, NEET Cut-off’s last rank for the best MBBS government colleges for the unreserved category ranged from 6573-90.
