Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) will release the Class 1 Selection List on April 20, 2023. The selection list will be released only for those students who have registered for Class 1 Admission. Once the provisional selection list is released on the official website – kvsangathan.nic.in., parents can download the same.
As per the notification released, the registrations for Class 1, began on March 27, 2023, and the last date to apply for the same was on April 17, 2023. Only those kids who have attained the age limit of 6 years, can register for Class 1 at Kendriya Vidyalaya. The Class 2 registrations were conducted from April 3, 2023, 8 AM to April 12, 2023, up to 4 PM. Along with the selection list, the waitlist of the registered students will also be released.

KVS Admission Class 1 Results: Steps to Download Provisional List
Candidates can also obtain the provisional list from the official portal. They just have to follow some easy steps to download their result-
- Visit the official website of the respective KV (for which the application has been filled).
- Open the relevant link for the provisional list given on the homepage.
- A selection list appears on the screen.
- Search name in the KV admission merit list.
- Download or print the selection list for personal records.
Students will not be granted admission if wrong or misleading information in the application form is found at the time of scrutiny by the KV. Once the selection list is released, the admission process will begin on April 21, 2023.
KVS Admission Class 2 Selection list was released on April 17, 2023, and the admission was conducted from April 18 to April 29, 2023. Parents and guardians must note that two other selection lists will be released – one on April 28, 2023, and another on May 4, 2023. Both will be released only if the seats are vacant.

What is selection process in Kendriya Vidyalaya for Class 1?
The KVS class 1 registration process 2023-24 is based on an online lottery system and priority category system. There will be no test or exam conducted for it.
Can I apply for more than one KV school?
Each of the Vidyalayas chosen in one application form will consider the admission application of the child independently. Thus, application to multiple Vidyalayas or the order in which the Vidyalayas are chosen in the application form does not affect the chances of admission to any of the Vidyalayas applied to.
Is it difficult to get admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya?
As mentioned, there is no limitation for filling the admission form of a Kendriya Vidyalaya. However, in case of limitation of seats, the KV School management admits students on a priority basis. The first priority is given to the children of Defence and ex-Defence people.
