    The (Joint Entrance Examination) JEE Main 2022 is a competitive examination for students in India. It is conducted for admission into undergraduate programs in IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other government-funded technical institutions. The JEE Main notification for extending the date was released on 1st April 2022. The form must be filled out before 5th April 2022. The admit card for the JEE 2002 Main session 1, which will be held this year, will be released by the second week of April 2022. Candidates can download their JEE main 2022 admit cards from the official NTA website. 

    This time it is decided that 12 Foreign Cities will be added apart from the existing cities for JEE Main Session 1 on the demand of the Indian councils in various foreign cities. The admit card must be preserved till the admission process is complete. The applicants are requested to appear for the examination with an admit card. 

    The JEE(Main) is a three-hour-long examination that consists of three sections – Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. The questions are of objective type with four options for each question. The applicants have to tick in the right answers on an OMR sheet.

    Downloading JEE Main 2022 admit card

    Students can download the admit card for the JEE Main 2022 from the NTA website. The admit card is an essential document and must be kept safe till the admission process is complete. The applicant cannot appear for the examination if they do not have their admit cards. Candidates can download their admit cards by following these simple steps:

    1. Open official NTA website – www.jeemain.nta.nic.in.
    2. Click JEE Main 2022 admits card link provided there.
    3. Enter your registration number and password.
    4. Then enter the submit button.
    5. Download and print your admit card.

    JEE Main 2022 admit card release date and exam dates for applicants

    For the eligible applicants who filled out the JEE 2022 application form, the admit card for the same will be released soon (expected in 2nd week of April). The examination will take place on June 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29.

    Students are requested to take note of the essential points once they have their admit cards

    • There will be no duplicate issuing of the admit cards at the test centres.
    • Applicants need to keep their admit cards safe.
    • Students need to conserve their admit cards in good condition for the future.
    • Incomplete applications lead to non-issuing of the admit card to applicants.

    JEE Main 2022 admit card details for applicants

    Students will be provided with the following details on the admit cards for their unique identification.

    1. Name 
    2. Date of birth
    3. Registration number 
    4. Roll number 
    5. Father’s name
    6. Gender of the candidate
    7. Category of the candidate
    8. Name of the examination centre
    9. Address of the examination centre
    10. Date and time of the examination
    11. Subject-wise distribution of marks

    Candidates must read the instructions given on the JEE Main 2022 admit card carefully. Some of the instructions are

    1. Students should display their admit cards on the desk during the examination.
    2. Rough work is defensible on the admit card and leads to banning on appearing exams.
    3. The admit card must not be folded, mutilated, or tampered with in any way.
    4. Candidates must not carry any items other than those mentioned in the card.
    5. If any discrepancy is found, it should be immediately reported to the exam supervisor.
    6. After completing the examination, the answer sheet should be handed over to the supervisor.

    The students need to keep in handy the following essential things for the exam hall

    • Self-declaration
    • Ballpoint pen
    • Sanitiser
    • Photograph 
    • Mask 
    • Water bottle
    • Calculator if allowed

    Items banned inside the JEE main 2022 exam hall

    Applicants need to be very careful not to carry the following items to the exam.

    • Electronic watches, mobile phones, and laptops
    • Log tables
    • Mathematical tables
    • Tobacco products, matches, lighters, etc.
    • Coloured pens, highlighters, etc.
    • Papers other than the answer sheet
    • Textbooks, notes, etc.
    • Food and beverages
    • Electronic items such as headphones, microphones, etc.

    What if you forget your JEE Main 2022 password?

    There are cases when an applicant can forget their password since it would have been a long since they applied for the admit card. If they forget, the following instructions will help you through in any case.

    • Go to the website of JEE Main.
    • Click the Forgot password.
    • Fill in the registration number and date of birth (DOB).
    • Enter the security code and submit.
    • The password is then sent to the applicant’s email.
    • Candidates can also change their passwords through the website by clicking on the change password link.

    What if you lose your JEE Main 2022 admit card

    In rare cases, students tend to lose their admit cards. In such situations, do not panic. Just follow the below steps, and you can retrieve the card.

    • Go to the website of JEE Main.
    • Then you need to click the Admit Card link.
    • Enter the applicant registration number and DOB.
    • Click on submit.
    • The admit card is displayed on your screen.
    • And now, you can download the admit card and take a printout.
    • If there is any inconsistency, immediately report to the authorities concerned.

    How to resolve the inconsistency in JEE Main admit card

     Different mistakes or inconsistent data can appear on an applicant’s JEE admit card, so you must go through these completely to avoid a last-minute rush.

    Admit cards for the JEE main examination 2022 will be downloaded after the 7th of April. The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced that admit cards will be on their website jeemain.nic.in. It is also important because if there are any mistakes by chance in the admit card, you will have time to correct those or at the least have time to complain.

    2. Are there any changes in the pattern of exams in JEE Main 2022?

    JEE Main is the national-level engineering entrance examination conducted by NTA. The JEE Main syllabus covers Chemistry, Mathematics, and physics with equal weightage. Every year, minor changes to the JEE Main syllabus keep in mind the current trends. However, no visible changes are made for the session 2022-2023.     If your photograph is not clear, an applicant can contact the Joint Admission Board (JAB) at IIT Delhi. They are the authority in correcting such problems. Additionally, take a passport-size photograph with you when you go to the exam, as this can be used as a replacement.

    5. What is the list of credentials and proofs required during the exam?

    Admit card, Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Class 10 certificate, and mark sheet (for date of birth)

    Photo ID proof (Passport/ Driving Licence/ Voter ID/ Bank Passbook / Photo identity proof issued by a Gazetted Officer), Recent passport size photograph. If any information on the card is incorrect, contact your exam centre. The applicants should bring their original admit cards to the JEE examination hall.

    6. Is the original JEE Main Admit Card 2020 essential?

    Candidates appearing for JEE Main 2020 surely should take the original admit card. The applicant needs to take their original admit card as it contains details like the applicant’s name and roll number of the applicant, exam timings, etc. Applicants without a valid admit card will not be allowed to enter the exam hall in any case. So, candidates should conserve their admit cards until the admission process.
