The Joint Entrance Exam 2024 registrations are underway for JEE Main Exam 2024 session 2. The conducting body National Testing Agency (NTA) began the JEE Main Session 2 online registration process on February 2, after the conclusion of the JEE Main Session 1 exams.
All eligible candidates can apply for the JEE Main Session 2 exam on the official website at jeemain.nta.ac.in. Personal information and academic records must be uploaded to successfully submit the online application. The last date to apply was March 2, 2024 which has now been extended to March 4, 2024.
The JEE Main session 2 exam gives an added opportunity for students to appear for the standardized computer-based test for admission to various undergraduate programs in the engineering domain across top institutions like NITs, IIITs, and Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, as well as acting as a qualifying exam for the JEE Advanced exam, which is essential for admission into the coveted Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

JEE Main 2024 Session 2 Registration: How to Fill the Application Form?
Candidates can fill out the JEE Mains application form by following the below-mentioned steps:
- Click on the jeemain.nta.ac.in 2024 registration link
- Create a new registration
- Choose a mode of login and identification for submission of the application form
- Complete registration using details name, mobile number, and email address.
- After completing the registration, login using an option – JEE Mains Digi locker login / ABC ID/application number
- Fill in your personal and educational details
- Upload scanned images of the photograph and signature
- Payment of JEE Main application fees
- Download the confirmation page for future reference
JEE Main 2024: List of Documents Required to Fill Application Forms
- Keep your class 12th Qualification details ready.
- Keep your class 12th mark sheet in the prescribed size and format.
- Make sure you have a valid and working mail ID & phone number.
- You must have a scanned image of your passport-size photograph & signature.
- Since you will be required to fill in the application fees online, make sure you keep your credit card, debit card, or net banking details handy.
Eligibility for JEE Main Session 2 Exam
- Candidates who applied and paid the examination fee for JEE Main 2024 session 1 and wish to participate in JEE Main 2024 session 2 must log in with their previous Application Number and Password from session 1.
- Apart from the basic eligibility criteria to apply for the exam, as mentioned by the NTA, candidates must know the following conditions to be eligible to appear for the JEE Main Session 2 exam. Here’s an overview-
- Candidates who have already registered for both session 1 and session 2 of the JEE (Main) – 2024 can change their course, question paper language, eligibility state code, exam cities, educational qualifications for Class 10 and 12, and fee payment details. However, any corrections in these areas will be subject to an additional fee, if applicable, and can only be made after payment.
- Candidates already registered for session 1 but have not yet applied for session 2 of the JEE (Main) – 2024 are considered existing candidates for session 2. Candidates can choose their course, question paper language, eligibility state code, exam cities, educational qualifications for Classes 10 and 12, and fee payment details.
- New candidates in session 2, who have not yet registered or paid fees for session 1, will go through the same registration and application process as in session 1.
