The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the JEE Main 2024 Result for Session 1. With the release of the January session results, candidates now have several avenues to explore.
The NTA conducted the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2024 Session 1, commencing from January 24, 2024, for Paper 2A (B.Arch.) and Paper 2B (B.Planning), and from January 27 to February 1, 2024, for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.). This extensive examination was conducted at 544 centers across 291 cities nationwide, including 21 cities outside India.
For Students Aiming for IITs:
Candidates who have achieved an impressive score in the JEE Mains are eligible for JEE Advanced 2024. Such students should commence immediate preparation for the Advanced exam, scheduled for May. Typically, candidates need to rank among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (regardless of category) in the B.E./B.Tech. paper to qualify for JEE Advanced 2024.
Students with slightly lower scores in the Mains 2024 Session 1 can opt to sit for the JEE Main Session 2 exam to enhance their chances of qualifying for JEE Advanced 2024. Concurrently, they can prepare for JEE Advanced while aiming for a better score in Session 2.
If you do not qualify for JEE Advanced, there is no need to sit for the exam. Depending on your JEE Main score, you can participate in the JoSAA counselling process to seek admission to various NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and other engineering colleges.
