Tie-Breaking Rules for JEE Main Paper 2 Results
Ensuring fairness and accuracy in ranking, the determination of JEE Main Paper 2 results incorporates a systematic tie-breaker process to resolve score ties effectively. The following criteria are employed for this purpose:
Aptitude Test Marks: Candidates scoring higher marks in the Aptitude Test are granted a higher rank. This initial criterion serves as the primary differentiator to establish rankings among tied candidates.
Drawing Test Marks: If a tie persists even after considering Aptitude Test marks, preference is given to the candidate with superior marks in the Drawing test. This secondary criterion further distinguishes candidates and aids in ranking determination.
Age Preference: In cases where the tie remains unresolved after considering the above criteria, priority is accorded to the older candidate, thereby granting them a higher rank. This age-based criterion acts as the final differentiator to determine rankings among tied candidates.
For the specialized B.Planning category, tie-breaking criteria include NTA scores in Mathematics, Aptitude Tests, and Planning-based Questions, along with consideration for negative responses and age. Similarly, for the B.Arch category, tie-breaking rules entail NTA scores in Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Drawing Tests, along with negative responses and age, to establish rankings. These tie-breaker regulations ensure a fair and transparent ranking process for JEE Main Paper 2 candidates across different categories.
