Hosted by the Joint Admission Board (JAB), this year, the JEE Main 2022 exam is being held from 23 June to 29 June in two shifts, shift 1 (Morning) and shift 2 (Evening).
No students were allowed to enter the exam hall without identity verification. The following documents are required to be carried by the students:
- Admit Card along with a self-declaration downloaded from the official NTA Website.
- One passport-size photograph, which will be pasted on the attendance sheet at the JEE 2022 exam centre.
- A valid original Photo ID Proof —PAN card, Voter ID, Passport, Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, or 12th Class Admit card.

JEE Main 2022 Shift 1 Paper Analysis – 26 June
The JEE Main 2022 Shift 1 exam for day 4 was held from 9 AM to 12 PM. For Chemistry and Physics sections in the JEE Main 2022 shift 1 exam, questions were asked from almost all the topics in the JEE Main syllabus. JEE Main 2022 26th June LIVE Updates
6:00 PM IST: The JEE Main 2022 afternoon shift for Bachelor in Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Technology (BTech) has concluded.
5:00 PM IST: One more hour to go for the JEE Main 2022 Shift 2 exam (26 June 2022) to conclude. Bookmark this page to get the JEE Main 2022 shift 2 paper analysis 2022 for 26 June exam.
4:00 PM IST: Students are required to paste their passport-size photograph and sign on the attendance sheet given to them in the exam hall.
3:00 PM IST: The JEE Main 2022 afternoon shift for Bachelor in Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Technology (BTech) has started.
2:30 PM IST: Students have started entering the exam hall for JEE Main shift 2 exam. No students are allowed to enter the exam hall wearing his or her own mask. Masks are provided at the Exam Centre.
2:00 PM IST: One more hour to go for the JEE Main 2022 Shift 2 exam to begin.

10:00 AM IST: The keyboard attached to the computer is disabled during the entire duration of the JEE 2022 exam. Students are instructed to enter their answers to each question by clicking on the virtual on-screen numeric keypad using the computer mouse.
9:30 AM IST: Blank sheets for doing rough work and calculations are provided to the students at the JEE Main 2022 exam halls. On completion of the JEE 2022 shift 1 exam, you must hand over the rough sheets to the invigilator on duty in the exam hall.
9:00 AM IST: The JEE Main 2022 morning shift for Bachelor in Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Technology (BTech) has started. The on-screen computer clock counter is set at the server for every student on the top right side of the computer screen. The countdown timer set on the screen will display the remaining time available for the students to complete the JEE Main 2022 shift 1 exam. When the timer reaches zero, the JEE Mains exam will end automatically. You will not be required to end or submit the JEE 2022 shift 1 exam.
8:30 AM IST: Entry to the exam hall begins. Frisking through Handheld Metal Detector (HHMD) is carried out without touching the body. Diabetic students are allowed to carry fruits, sugar tablets and a transparent water bottle to the examination hall.
8:00 AM IST: The JEE Main 2022 Shift 1 exam will begin at 9 am. Read carefully through the instructions before starting with the exam. Go through the question paper thoroughly. Use the stepwise approach to solve conceptual questions. Most of all, remember to stay calm and composed during the exam. We want to wish you the best of luck! Do well!
Important NTA JEE Main Exam Guidelines
- No students will be allowed to enter the exam hall after the gate is closed.
- No students will be allowed to leave the exam hall before the exam ends.
- Carry your admit card to the exam hall, without which you will not be allowed to enter the exam hall or write the exam.
- If your religion or customs require you to wear a specific attire, please ensure to be at the exam centre early for a thorough checking.
- Frisking through Handheld Metal Detector (HHMD) will be carried out without touching the body.
Items Allowed Inside the Exam Hall
- Admit card downloaded from the NTA website
- A simple transparent ballpoint pen
- Additional photograph, to paste on the attendance sheet in the centre hall
- Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml)
- Personal transparent water bottle
Prohibited Items Inside the Exam Hall
Electronic devices, mobile phones, ear phones, microphones, calculator, log tables, tape recorded and smart watches are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall. Shoes or footwear with thick soles and garments with large buttons are not allowed inside the examination hall. Packed foods including candies, chocolates, snacks are not allowed in the examination centre.

FAQ on JEE Main 2022 Shift 1 – 26 June 2022
When will the 26 June JEE Main 2022 Shift 1 exam start?
The JEE Main 2022 shift 1 exam will begin at 9 AM. Students are required to be at the exam hall at least one hour before the exam begins. Students will not be permitted inside the exam without an identity verification.
What time should I report to the exam center?
On the day of the JEE Main 2022 exam, please reach the exam hall at the reporting time mentioned in the admit card. If you reach after the gate closing time, you will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.
What documents should I carry to the JEE Main 2022 exam hall?
Students are only allowed to carry their admit card, one passport size photograph, and a valid original photo ID proof such as PAN card, aadhar card or passport.
I am diabetic, am I allowed to carry eatables inside the hall?
Diabetic students are allowed to carry eatables including sugar tablets, fruits and transparent water bottle to the examination hall. However, students are not allowed to carry packed food items such as sandwiches and chocolates.
Will rough sheets be provided inside the exam hall?
Blank A4 size paper sheets will be provided for each student, in the exam hall, to do rough work. As soon as you receive the rough sheet, you must write your name and Roll Number at the top of each of the sheets. Students are not allowed to take these rough sheets outside the examination hall after the exam. You can drop the rough sheets in the designated drop box in the exam centre.
