IIT JAM 2023 Application Form Begins Today: Check How to Register, Documents Required

The Indian Institute of Technology Joint Admission test for Masters (IIT JAM) 2023 application process has begun today i.e. 7 September 2022. All those candidates who want to appear for the admission test can apply on the official website– jam.iitg.ac.in. IIT Guwahati is the organizing body that would be conducting the IIT JAM 2023. The last date to apply for IIT JAM 2023 is 11 October 2022.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates applying for IIT JAM 2023 should be graduates of any recognized university.
• Those who are in the final year of their graduation can apply.
• Students need to present their passing certificate by 1 September 2023.

The IIT JAM 2023 exam will be held on 12 February 2023 and the results will be released on 22 March 2023. IIT JAM 2023 will be conducted in 7 subjects including Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematical Statistics (MS), Mathematics (MA), and Physics (PH).

The IIT JAM paper will consist of three types of questions that are:

• Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
• Multiple Select Questions (MSQ)
• Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions

1. Go to the official website– iitg.ac.in
2. On the homepage, click on the application portal link
3. A new login/registration page would open
4. Register yourself and log in using the login credentials
5. Fill in the IIT JAM 2023 application form
6. Key in the details and upload the required documents
7. Pay the application and submit the form
8. Take a printout for future references

Important Documents for IIT JAM 2023 Application Form

Candidates need to own the below-mentioned documents to fill out the application form for IIT JAM 2023.

• Personal information (name, date of birth, personal mobile number, parent’s name, parent’s mobile number, etc.)
• Address for communication (including PIN code)
• Eligibility degree details
• College name and address with PIN code
• JAM Paper(s) Code
• Choice of JAM examination cities
• High-quality passport-size photograph
• A high-quality image of the candidate’s signature
• Scanned copy of the Category (SC/ST) Certificate (if applicable) in PDF format
• Scanned copy of PwD Certificate (if applicable) in PDF format
• Details of the valid Identity Document (ID). Candidates should carry this original ID proof to the exam centre.
• Net-banking/ debit card/credit card details for fee payment
