The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Re-NEET UG 2026 Provisional Answer Key on June 25, 2026, at around 7:30 PM IST on the official portal. Candidates who appeared for the Re-NEET examination conducted on June 21, 2026, can now log in to download their provisional answer key, view their scanned OMR response sheet, and raise objections against any answers they believe are incorrect. The objection window remains open until June 28, 2026, with a challenge fee of ₹200 per question.
The answer key is available for all four paper codes: Code 50, Code 60, Code 70, and Code 80. The objection window is open for a limited period, so do not delay.
What You Need Before You Start
Keep the following ready before you begin:
- NEET UG 2026 Application Number
- Password (set during registration) or Date of Birth
- A stable internet connection
- Your Re-NEET 2026 admit card (to confirm your paper code)
Your paper code is printed on your admit card and at the top of your OMR sheet. You will need it to match your responses against the correct answer key. Using the wrong code will give you an inaccurate score estimate.
Step-by-Step: How to Download the Re-NEET 2026 Provisional Answer Key
Step 1: Open your browser and go to the official NTA NEET portal: neet.nta.nic.in
Step 2: On the homepage, look for the link titled “NEET UG 2026 Provisional Answer Key” or “Display OMR Answer Sheet / Challenge Recorded Response and Answer Key.” This link will be active on the homepage under the latest notices or candidate activity section.
Step 3: Click the link. You will be redirected to the candidate login page.
Step 4: Enter your Application Number, Password (or Date of Birth), and the Security PIN (captcha) displayed on screen. Click Submit or Login.
Step 5: Your candidate dashboard will display two downloadable items:
- Your scanned OMR response sheet showing the answers NTA has recorded for you
- The Provisional Answer Key PDF for your paper code
Step 6: Download both files. Save them in a secure location and take at least two printouts of each.
Step 7: Compare your OMR responses with the provisional answer key question by question. Note any discrepancies, either in your recorded responses or in the answer key itself.

Checking Your Paper Code
The provisional answer key is released separately for each paper code. The four codes for Re-NEET UG 2026 are Code 50, Code 60, Code 70, and Code 80. Questions across all codes are identical; only the sequence of questions and the order of answer options differ.
To confirm your paper code:
- Check the top right section of your Re-NEET 2026 admit card
- Check the top of your scanned OMR sheet on the portal
What to Do If You Spot an Error
If you find that an answer in the provisional key is incorrect, or that your scanned OMR sheet does not reflect what you actually marked, you can raise a formal objection through the NTA portal. The same login you used to download the answer key gives you access to the challenge window.
The objection fee is Rs. 200 per question, paid online. This fee is non-refundable regardless of the outcome. Only raise a challenge when you have solid, published evidence to back your claim. Accepted evidence includes scanned pages from NCERT Class 11 or 12 textbooks or recognised reference books, uploaded as a single PDF.
FAQs
Q1. The provisional answer key link is not visible on the homepage. What should I do?
If the link is not visible, try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache. The NTA portal can experience heavy traffic immediately after a key release, which may cause the page to load slowly or incompletely. Try accessing the portal during non-peak hours, such as early morning or late at night. If the issue persists, use a different browser or device, but do not rely on third-party links.
Q2. My scanned OMR sheet shows a different response than what I actually marked on the answer sheet. Can I get it corrected?
Yes. NTA allows candidates to challenge discrepancies in their scanned OMR response sheet through the same objection window. Log in at neet.nta.nic.in, navigate to the challenge section, identify the question where the recorded response differs from your actual marking, upload supporting evidence, and pay Rs. 200 per question challenged. The deadline for OMR challenges is the same as the answer key objection window. Raise the challenge immediately if you notice a mismatch.
Q3. I forgot my password. How do I log in to download the provisional answer key?
On the candidate login page at neet.nta.nic.in, click on the “Forgot Password” link. You will be prompted to enter your Application Number and registered email ID or mobile number to reset your password. Once reset, you can log in and access your answer key and OMR sheet.
